Steelers V Panthers game thread

Yeah, but Bradshaw always tried deep throws and that happened during an era where DBs could maul receivers all the way down field. Dwayne "Check Down " Haskins is doing this while throwing around 5 to 10 yds of the LOS.
Maybe were trying to keep the good plays for, let's see, THE SEASON???

I dont want to carry more than 2 QBs anyway.

Dobbs scrappy play alone is enough to keep him. Haskins just looks lost and unsure. He has no spark..

I think the bigger problem is that

he had a couple good passes that wrs didnt make plays on... he wasnt as good as they hyped him after game two and he isnt as bad as this game...

he is still meh on reads and he gets some weird mechanics especially on broken plays
He had 1 decent pass to Ray Ray, but waited too long, the rest have been horrible. he bounced pas a 5 yard pass to JW, underthrew Chase. And all preseason he has check downed, his long passes have come on broken plays for most part.

The fact that Dobbs is not playing means Haskins will be cut... They can pick up any journeyman bum qb that is better than Haskins

I don't think Haskins knows the routes. He is reacting like someone who does not now the playing that are being called.

this has been a relatively vanilla preseason... I love that... I dont want quality of plays to determine roster spots...I want to see how guys play based on talent and basic mental abilities... gameplanning just enhances that

Ravens traded former Ohio State DB Shaun Wade to the Pats

What does the game clock say score / time / qrtr ?

I can't believe people still buy that nonsense. Sure, it's a little vanilla, but if you aren't practicing your actual offense or defense against live opponents, what could you possibly hope to learn? And further is there any real benefit? I get not showing blitzes, or this or that wrinkle, but they are practicing their scheme. Heard this same crap last year, and the regular season offense looked a lot like the preseason offense.

The 5 and 6 WRs spots are wide open. Somebody can win a job with some plays.

I don't understand..If they don't know vanilla, how are they going to handle Rocky Road? ;)

Either way, saul good. At the end of the year, we'll never remember the 4th preseason game...Fortunately...Hell I probably won't remember it by Monday afternoon.

I keep hearing Moore has more development to do, but I feel like he will be starting by, like, game six.... I am trying not to like him too much... he gets good ratings from the online scouts at least

I meant in this game ?

has he played any and did you watch him for any amount of plays ?

Salute the nation

Will we get to 50yds passing this game?

Sexton blowing his chance to make this team. Heading into the game, i thought he was ahead of RayRay but he's playing tight and making too many mistakes. He can still make the team with a few good plays though because Ray Ray hasn't shown much.

Ray Ray ran a terrible route on the nice pass from Haskins. You can't let the DB ride you to the sideline like that because you see what happens, the QB has no room to fit it in there and stay inbounds. The sideline is a true lockdown DB.

Ben ran a couple series and it looked fine...

Wins and losses are less important than finding the best talents in the preseason

I cant say that I focused on him at all this game... thats usually something that unless there is an obvious trend in the game or you are intentionally singling out an olineman, you dont focus on them... I cant say I wasnt watching haskins more than anything today lol
