Absolutely love this pick, future Pro-bowler who will play right away.

Always had nightmares about losing Revis to the Jets, figured we'd get screwed again and lose out on Bush.

Good job Colbert. We have two years to win another Superbowl, time is now!

A 'Deon Jones-level talent'.... I'll take it and go back for seconds.

Devin Bush LB, Pittsburgh Steelers

Steelers traded up with the Broncos to select Michigan LB Devin Bush with the No. 10 overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft.

They gave up the 20th and 52nd picks this year as well as a 2020 third rounder to move up. The Steelers have been searching for a Ryan Shazier replacement in the middle of their defense, and Bush has the talent to be that guy. Bush (5’11/234) turned pro as a third-year junior after earning 2018 Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year honors and amassing 19.5 career TFLs with ten sacks and 15 passes defended. Bush combines elite on-field production with standout measurables, blazing a 4.43 with 97th-percentile SPARQ results. Bush also shined as an off-ball blitzer, generating QB pressures on 26% of his career pass-rush snaps. Ultimately, Bush profiles as a Deion Jones-level talent who can create stops and splash plays in both the run and pass games.

We now have Devin Bush, signed, stamped and delivered to Pittsburgh, PA. Rock n Roll. Very much looking forward to seeing what comes next.

Love your optimism for all things Steelers, Tibs.

Dude is rocked up, ready to go. Colbert had the ice in his veins to go get him. Welcome aboard Devin!

Got them Earl Campell thighs... ;)

We could have done without the underwear pic...sheesh!!!

Look on the bright side. At least they didn’t reach for Rock Ya-Sing at 1.20. That alone is a win in my book.

You have given out too much Reputation in the last 24 hours, try again later.

My brother, can't agree with you more. This laptop would not be operational had we picked Rock Ya Sin...

I'm not sure how I feel about investing three premium draft picks in an ILB.

It addresses the team's biggest need and I like the player, but he's going to have to be an Allpro to validate the move,vIMO.

This point of view is seen as bitching,

Player i wanted and i wanted them to trade up to make sure they got him. I didn't want to give up a 2nd to do it, though.

Hopefully, we can package some other picks to move up into the 2nd.

Not even close. Very well-rounded, smart & humble young man. Not to mention a natural leader. Just watch some interviews etc.

And the outfit was a guitar which I assume is a tribute to Nashville, even though yeah, it was pretty ugly.
Antonio was humble and well-rounded when he came out. Just throwing up a flag. I think we need more kids who show up in a suit and tie.

I wouldn't put too much stock into it, he was trying to pay homage (I guess) to Nashville, and it didn't look very good.

And Antonio Brown had a pretty screwed up childhood, this guy comes from solid people w/ NFL bloodlines. I think the flag should be shoved back into your underoos until further notice.:tongue-new:

My underoos? Go **** yourself kid.

You're not in the best of moods tonight Chuck? That was an obvious joke (poor one) but I'm a little too old to actually be called a "kid".

What do you think of their 1st round pick tonight?

Nothing about mood. Insult me and you will get it back. I like the pick a lot, but as I said, the choice of garb bothers me. I've said for a long time that the bullshit first down crap that AB does and others do is an indicator that the guy is a me first player. IMO coming up on stage wearing anything other than a fairly conventional suit and tie indicates a similar inclination. Pattern recognition..

As a follow on - when I criticized AB and Bell for that ******* first down crap, most here thought it was an overreaction - get off of my lawn - old school crap that doesn't apply anymore. It does apply, and we need to be careful about who we draft.

We are actually concerned about his suit. Ok. I'm not. They overpaid. If you want a Lexus or a Mercedes you will overpay. And I'd rather have one of them then two Hyundai. Hwll I'd rather have one then two Hondas. If the kid was an inch and a half taller he would be undisputed top 5. Who has the best force unit in the division now. Maybe top 5 in the league.

We are not. Just me.

Love the pick. At #20 there are a bunch of B players. Instead we got one of the top echelon guys available and filled a gaping hole. No one likes losing the 2nd but truth be told it's going to be worth it.

If Bush comes in and learns the D quickly, he could start seeing significant snaps to start the season and then be the starter by mid-season. At least, that's probably what I'd do. That way he is more rested for late in the year when many rookies hit a wall. Plus, the Steelers said they don't like to start their rookies unless they have to. But, if he needs to on the field based on his play in the pre-season, then Vinnie may become our No. 3 ILB.
