Steelers sign Gradkowski to one year deal

Go ahead. instead of just saying half are better, throw out the specific name that the steelers should have somehow acquired this year instead of Gradkowski

Gradkowski has 20 starts under his belt. You can't just discount that. He has played well in this league in real games. Most of that list has no starts.

The steelers did want to draft a QB this year but it didn't happen. If they drafted one, i think they would have traded Landry away and signed Grad as a veteran.

this..... there has to be someone available and affordable.... although I was hoping Hoyer would have gotten a look...
 
He signed for veteran minimum, which is actually a pretty good deal.

That means he counts $1.32 million LESS than someone like Brian Hoyer who was the only real other option in free agency that fit (he signed for $2 million).

For our team, that $1.3 million might make a difference right now. We're a bit tight against the salary cap.

I think 28th on that list is good. it goes from worst to best. 32nd is GB....

In what could be one of the boldest signings in the history of the NFL, today the Pittsburgh Steelers took a leap of faith on QB Johnny Manziel.

The team, who is in need of a backup QB with Michael Vick being released and other backup Landry Jones not really coming together as quickly as they wanted.... The Steelers front office decided it was time to do something extremely bold.

They decided to not do anything right now. BUT, in other exciting NFL news the Pittsburgh Steelers did go out today and sign former Browns QB Johnny Manziel to a new deal.

The reported deal is worth an estimated $11.75 an hour with no health benefits BUT an option for dental after 6 months of employment. Johnny has submitted his resume which states he is really good at cleaning up his own vomit with a swiffer and using plastic bags to gather empty beer cans.

A perfect fit. Welcome Janitor Manziel to the Heinz field grounds crew!

I knew Gradkowski's mom when I was in high school. She was incredibly hot! That alone qualifies him to be Bens' backup!
 
Leftwhich was he the last good backup? QBs should want to come here seems every year one or two get to play a few games
