It's just for humorous effect. I doubt TMC is truly predicting we go P, FB, KR next draft. A little exaggeration can lighten things up and help get a point across, as long as itse clearly not literal.

Just for point of reference. Here are Darren Sproles career average numbers. He was used as a return man almost exclusively his rookie year so I did not count his first year in his rushing and receiving averages. I did count them in returns.

Sproles has played 9 years. 1 lost to injury. So the numbers below are for 7 years rush/rec and 8 years returns

429 for 2171, 11 TD
Avg 61-310-1.5

Receiving
375-3371-27 TD
Avg 54-482-4

Punt Ret
195-1606-3
Avg 24-201-0.4

Kick Ret
328-8296-2
Avg 41-1037-0.25

Sproles is as good as anybody could hope for as a scat back receiver and as great as he is, his numbers show he is still a role player.

im hoping for the best from Archer too but I think some people have some pretty lofty expectations. Being so short limits the routes Archer can run. Even as fast as he is, it will be hard for him to be a deep threat. A DB can be 2-3 yards behind Archer and have him covered on a go route.

Steve Smith is a deep threat but that's because he has amazing ball skills. He goes up and rips it away from DBs. He's a pure WR. Archer doesn't have those natural ball skills so I think he will mostly be used on underneath routes.

Run after catch will be Archers main job. I'm hoping the steeler WRs step up their blocking

As long as Archer never ever gets hit I predict he will be ROY and end up in the HOF. He is so fast that he cannot even be tackled. Don't believe me? Just watch all of the film on Youtube, guys from Lima Tech, The Northern Michigan Buttfuckers, University of Indiana (at Gary), and Virginia Union could not lay a hand on him. He has mystical powers of speed and elusiveness that only Coach T could detect. This is gonna be a special year, and in the end we will all be saying that Archer is the backbone of our franchise. He will make us forget how tough Hines was, he will make us forget how dominant our 70's D was. That drive in SB 43? Forget it, Archer runs the Burgh now.

Just like the media, take what you want from a conversation, make it say what you want it to say. Seriously Vader, just stop now. I obviously can't get you to understand what the word CONTEXT means, or how it pertains to a FULL conversation. You just want to take that one part that was directed at Idioteque directly because he THOUGHT my post was a personal attack at him. It wasn't, it was simply pointing out that this is how things are done here at SN. We take the one BAD part of a situation and just hammer it into the ground, beat the dead horse into ashes, and produce 50+ page threads of nonsense. It's not a complaint, it's a statement. And a true statement as the threads for Shazier and Tuitt aren't a quarter of the size of this thread COMBINED! I'm not spinning anything, you are just too stupid to understand.

See renaming "bitching" to "pointing out" is just semantics. It's bitching. He doesn't like these threads and even calls them "nonsense". Not sure how much plainer it can be.

I know what complaining is, pretty much 90% of your football posts. I did not complain. I did not say I hate threads that go long. I never said I hated the Jones thread, that was just the thread LAST year, the Archer thread is THIS year, and sometime during the year ANOTHER Timmons thread will pop and go the distance, and again with Cowher vs Tomlin. IT'S THE STEELERNATION WAY. Presenting factual evidence about a topic doesn't mean it's a complaint. But by all means, keep at it. You are certainly changing the culture around here, you are a true trailblazer for a brighter tomorrow.

As I said before, it seems you are the one bitching the most, is it time to change your tampon? or are you still in diapers?
