Steelers place the right of first refusal tender on AA Ron.

Oh man this is shinning a bad light on this organization chasing an old, washed up QB.
This further illustrates the incompetence of the owner Art Rooney II allowing this to continue to fester but it plays right into the narcissist, attention ***** Rodgers.
All one has to do is watch the last playoff game.to know Rodgers needs to retire. He needs to move on and more so the Steelers need to move on.

The bad part is this is becoming a trend, 2 years of Rodgers, before that it was Russ.

I don’t get the Steelers at times, I really don’t.
They couldn’t wait to show legends like Rod Woodson, Troy, and Ben the door but they chase Rodgers.
If they thought the three Steeler legends were done what the hell makes them think Rodgers at almost 43 can play? Last season against good teams he looked every bit his age.
This pursuit of this guy just makes zero sense.

What's not to get? Rooney is old..old in thinking and old in how he handles this team. He doesn't want to conform to the fact that if you want a franchise QB in today's NFL, you most likely have to go up and get him. You have to pay the price. The chances of lucking out and you find a QB in the later rounds are super slim. Don't get me wrong..I hope like hell Aller pans out. But we all know the odds on that.

Oh I understand Art is the major problem and have posted about it here plenty of times.
I guess what bothers me he couldn’t wait to show some of our legends the door but pursues an old washed up Rodgers.

It's almost like all this time of saying a winning season wasn't important was all B.S.

They are very comfortable in their mediocrity, very comfortable. And it seems like they are scared shitless of having a losing season. That explains Russ and now Rodgers. They know they can't win the big one with those guys.

I still like Rodgers as the transition QB for one year though.

Joe Flacco, that’s where we are now? Talk about coming full circle. I always liked Joe and personally I’d rather have him here this year than Rodgers. Joe could help out the young guys as much as Rodgers with a lot less drama.
It would be weird to see Joe in black n’ gold but it’s also weird we’re chasing a washed up has been.

who knows lol, they want to go with the QB that they think has to best chance to help us win, well if that's the case, a young QB is never going to get a chance.

Can't wait until Joe Flacco is here next year because he gives us a better chance to win than any of the younger guys do.
Have you ever seen Flacco's rookie card?

THIS. ^^^^^^

Absolutely take Joe over sand-toe decision contemplation guy.

Salute the nation

Some of you say that it may take 2 or 3 years to see if Howard or Allar are NFL caliber. It didn't take that long to see Kent Grahm suck. Or Landry Jones. You and I will see if these young players have any chutzpa in a couple games.

And it shouldnt have taken as long as it did for Kenny Pickett

This AR circus shows how far this club has sunk from an operational standpoint.

They had no trouble putting Franco Harris on waivers when his agent didn't get back to Dan Rooney in time, even though Franco made a call to Dan that he wanted to sign.

This Rodgers circus has to have the Chief and Dan rolling in their graves with embarrassment.

Not just the Rodgers circus. Darnell Savage still hasn't signed his contract offer from March, and Dean Lowry has a contract offer that he is delaying signature on.

PS I'm not sure the Chief will be rolling in his grave given the Steelers were a 30+ year circus under his leadership.

Savage and Lowry just saving the Steelers the trouble of cutting them prior to the start of the season?

As I recall, from last year, our Ayahuasca connesiuer A-Ron wanted to wait to sign until after the schedule was announced, so the NFL wouldn't use his being on the Steeler to influence game time.

Maybe his shaman told him the same thing this spring?

Luckily, that pesky schedule thing gets outta the way tonight.
