3 years is plenty for me to see that spending 9 million dollars on a fourth year from Bud Dupree is like lighting it on fire.
True "zero liability" would have been to not exercise the option. He's a liability 95% of the time he's on the field.
Lol...read it again. For the love of God. WE ARE NOT SPENDING 9M FOR DUPREE THIS YEAR. In fact, if we dont like what we see, WE ARE NOT SPENDING 9M ON HIM NEXT YEAR.
It is a FIFTH year option. He is in year FOUR. Think about it. Then think about it again.
While it IS true that the only zero liability would have been not to exercise this, the ONLY real liability here is if he gets injured.
