Steelers - CovidClowns game thread : playoff edition

Baker just said his LT was a guy he met in the locker room before this game. SMH

Welp, that last shot of Ben sitting there seemed as if he was contemplating his retirement.

that shot of ben just sitting there as everyone leaves the field. you know he's thinking it.

..."this is it. i can't do anymore, i've given everything i can for this team, this game....this was it"

And he was FANTASTIC .... but, time marches on. Quarterbacks and Offensive Linemen get older. He'll always be one of the greatest Pittsburgh Steelers and a Hall Of Fame QB. But, it is time to start making moves that plan for life after Ben.

He's probably the Steelers greatest QB and deserves respect. QBs can't be great forever.

This is the sad reality. He will be back next year, and be extended to make that happen

We run down Ben ,he had 500 some yards and yes int BUT he scored enough to win and the defense gave up 48, 41 if you give the first td on the offense. So throw the blame around if you see Ben as the goat.

If Ben retires or is forced out I can live with that, but with a solid oline and a real coordinator and head coach that knows how to scheme he can still play pretty good, he just can't carry the team anymore.

Ben will be killed by the local media tonight and tomorrow, Tomlin will be given a free pass as usual

Maybe he makes it back with a different coordinator.

As soon as it creeps in your head maybe it's time, it's time. He just threw 4 picks and lost to a team he's owned his entire career at home in the playoffs. His arm is still there, he can still make plays, he just can't physically do what he needs to be be consistently good over an entire season anymore.

Ben has covered up for horrible coaching for so long it really is incredible. Saw a Belichick and Saban special where both coaches said “great players can’t overcome bad coaching.”

He needs to seriously conditioning himself not only for his arm,but his mobility. He's got a 1-2 year shelf life if he really trains nonstop until next season. That dude Tom Br**dy is 43. It will take some serious physical dedication probably more than he's ever done in his entire career.

Ben threw for 501 yards 4 tds and 4 interceptions... he was a net positive for tge game... even if tge browns scored a td on every single int, he still scored 4 tds to nullify that...

The biggest goats are pounceys fumble right off the bat.. and the offensive gameplan that didn’t get us a single point in the first half again... the Browns were missing two cbs and making up for it by cheating safeties over leaving a huge seem up the middle that we ******* never attacked until the end of the game

The Browns got ahead and sat on routes.. This was a preparation fail plain and simple... 28-0 and we lost 45-37... thats ******* all on the first quarter and you cannot blame that on ben

Hell it happened to Rudolph last game too...

Ben had 4 INT’s ..... BUT, he also had 4 TD’s and 500+ yards. He did enough to win.

Yes the D has injuries, but they played like ***. They DID NOT do enough

Please this is not the time to heap praises on Ben. He threw 4 absolutely crippling interceptions. Yes he lit up the scoreboard out of necessity but holy **** those interceptions were what killed this team

Im not even blaming the D... they were playing on scrubs by the end... Spillane is no bush and I don’t even know what marsh is...

He's going to need a stud RB too. Cause ours are crap. Conner is a good RB2, not the guy you want to rely on for a whole season. The rest are JAGs

We are not winning **** with the coaches we have.

It was kinda touching to see Ben & Pouncey crying on the bench. It’s at least nice to know they still give a $hit.

Yep, but Ben will be the scapegoat all off-season, Tomlin will skate through free, fire a lb coach, a wr coach, and the media will be licking his balls next year how he's one of the best

I just think he was handcuffed and injury further hand cuffed him. IMO he has enough left with the right coaches. I know it won't be a popular opinion.
