Sounds like Buddy Johnson is shopping himself elsewhere… trying out for the 49rs today….

Like I said, some of these guys might just not want to sign here… it makes sense we have offers out there and the guy is looking elsewhere and isn’t going to sign unless his preferred place passes

Do we know for a fact that they even offered a PS spot to Buddy?

I think our biggest lost already for the practice squad is Chris Oladokun, he was drafted solely for the practice squad to emulate the mobile QBs we play in our division for practice. We didn't even allow him to play a snap in the preseason so he wouldn't have any nfl footage on tape and he still got signed away. It made sense the Chiefs would sign him to thiers being thier first game is against Kyler Murray, wouldn't surprise me if they cut him right after and we sign him right back.

Also if he painted himself blue, he could go out trick or treating as a life sized smurff🤣…

I was hoping for Tyler Vaughn… Snead is behind Ca3, gunner and sims as a smaller slot receiver/ returner, with DJ and Claypool both also able to play the slot

Vaughn was behind DJ, pickens, Claypool and boykin outside, but there are two positions out there… Cody white isn’t bad by any means… i just liked Vaughn better

Vaughns, regardless of who it was against, made clutch plays at important moments in the preseason. He didn't do anything wrong, but instead always seemed to make the right play. Was really hoping he'd be signed to our practice squad by now

The thing is, it takes two to tango… even if the Steelers offered him a spot, he might be pursuing a quicker path to the active roster elsewhere… I mean he would at best be like 8th on the depth chart here… there are wr needy teams that he could go to and impress enough that he gets a real shot to play

That guy was the second best statistical wr in the entire nfl this preseason and probably the top in regards to pure impact plays. There absolutely is interest there … he probably is just mulling over offers

10 ways the 3 Holes on the PS could be filled…
( get your minds out of the gutter you sick *****)

1 a qb in case they do get a killer offer and deal Rudolph, preferably one that can spoof the running qbs we will see this year.
2. An OT prospect, or hell, go get a vet
3. Another CB… Chris Steele looked good.. bring him back
4. Another ILB… doesn’t have to be BJ, but allen is a china doll, Robinson is a rookie.. and Bush is a ?….
5. Another Olb… we go through those like water.. bring in Roche if he is still out there…
6. A power back prospect… all we got is scatback outside types in the two we signed
7. A 9th Wr… overkill? Sure, but it gives you options to trade a rostered guy once ca3 gets healthy
8. A second Safety…. Sure Kazee is coming back, but depth here cant hurt in case his injury drags on, especially if you grab an ilb/s tweener
9. A punter… just in case Pressley earns the nickname “cracks under pressure pressley”
10. A redundant Olineman… we already have 3… we can use as many as we can get since this scheme seems a bit complicated to learn…

For me it is whatever vet is LT capable. That would be my priority number one. Then I would look at vet safeties.

Exactly, with the tape he put out there he isn’t wanting to be buried in a deep WR depth chart needing multiple injuries in front of him to sniff the field…he’ll find a more WR needy team out there.

11. Mike Tyson- devastating hand punch, if he can’t make the roster maybe he can at least teach dudes to punch…if that doesn’t work let the guys know Mikey is hungry for some ear and next sack given up is feeding Mike.

The practice squad was filled out today… they added two vets, S Andrew Adams and CB Josh Jackson along with bringing OLB Delontae Scott back

So one NFL trait that still plagues the league is an inability to see past college scouting reports… teams routinely sign known busts over and over in hopes that what they thought they saw in college is brought out by their staff, but they grossly ignore guys who worked on their game and improved their weaknesses…

Tyler Vaughns still isn’t on a squad… the guy has all the measurables to be a solid wr in the NFL … he just had the second best overall performance in the entire nfl preseason …
He is acrobatic and sure handed.. he has worked on getting separation and route running … and on YAC … this dude should at a bare minimum be on a practice squad… a lot of people pegged him as a wr3 type in the nfl… but that repetitive scouting report of good at everything but great at nothing seems to be holding him back…

Very odd indeed that he hasn’t caught on somewhere yet

Same thing happens to an extent with coaches, the retreads get shot after shot for no apparent reason some with proven track records of being inept

Hamilcar has been moved to the injured practice squad list. They have signed wr Jaquarii Roberson… not really sure why no Tyler Vaughn… this guy is a slot receiver with no deep speed
