Sources – Brown Requests Trade

I don't see how you can trade him, take a $21 million hit, and then sign another high paid player. Brown needs some serious counseling, (I doubt it will help) Does anyone remember a interview Brown had years ago and he said it's all about me now. Brown cares only about himself and Tomlin or no other coach can change that.

We are so ******, this team doesn't even have a player that you can call a leader like Bettis or even Porter.
 
It’s being reported that AB is unhappy with Tomlin and Ben, saying that Tomlin is too much aligned with Ben.
I do think we take a cap hit if we trade him because the Steelers put most of their money in signing bonuses up front rather than guaranteed money after the first year. So forget about trading him.

They have to find a way to appease this little nut case because of his talent, cap hit, and lack of return value. Let him cool down, defuse this some by not constantly airing it out in the local media, and try and schedule some face time with him in another month. They won’t trade him.

I think they restructured his contract at the beginning of the year, so cutting or trading him will kill our cap space.

AB don't care. So you take a hell of a cap hit and trade him, or you have a disgruntled player that might not show up on gameday, or you can the coach. I know we'd all take door number 3 but likely that is not in the Rooney's list of options....What a cluster!@#$
 
In a perfect world I'd trade him for a first and a third. Draft defense and grab a decent FA receiver to pair with Juju. Unfortunately -21 million on the salary cap is not a perfect world.
 
If La Canfora's report is true (and I have no reason to say it isn't), between the lines Brown is saying he'd like to see either BR or Tomlin gone.

It won't be the quarterback.

Now, LeBron James did get a coach fired. Just sayin'.

You don’t trade Brown... every team has divas like him... every single one... gor whatever reason ours just gets way more air time when he does ****....

He is pissy cause we missed the playoffs... everyone is... winning cures all

What happens when he doesn't run his routes correctly or drops easy passes, especially in the end zone. Then you have all that money just sitting on the sidelines (in a fur coat) or in a strip joint.

Ward was a total diva... the news media just loved him so his whining and blowups weren’t made public and blown out of proportion...
If brown had gotten nailed with drunk driving with his mistress in his car he would get ripped to shreds here... Most people don’t even know that happened to Ward...

Brown is a stat junkie... there is no way he intentionally does anything like that... he will just pout in the press...
