Something to think about...

Average would be a fair improvement over last year.

He did have 2 sacks and a forced fumble in less than 3 games before HE BROKE HIS WRIST. Do you really count anything that happened when he returned at the end of season? That is a really tough injury for an OLB and he was rushed back because Harrison had a knee injury.

you know, those sacks and the fumble were given to him by the rival QB and his Oline cause he is such a nice guy.
So they don't count

I won't even settle for average

We can't afford to have our ROLB being an "average" pass rusher. We need our ROLB to be a terror. To be fair, he was definitely improved at the beginning of last season over his rookie season. He has one more year

Jones starts and as a starter, and a starting outside linebacker for the Pittsburgh Steelers, curtain things can and will be expected of him. Greg Lloyd called Jarvis jones out not just us on this board. The fact is, the book is correct about him. Not big enough, not strong enough, not fast enough, not motivated enough. He's a was going to be a bust that's why other teams passed on him and he, so far, is a bust. Tombert, on their own admission, drafted him based on what he did in college. He's obviouly not going up against lazy fat *** offensive linemen, like Gilbert when he was at Florida, in the nfl.

having chicken enchiladas for seis de mayo.

Salute the nation

New to the forum. Steeler fan since the 1970's

James Harrison:
1st year = 1 sack
2nd year = 3 sacks
3d year = 0

Jason Gildon (Steelers all time sack leader)
1st year = 2 sacks
2nd year = 3 sacks
3rd year = 7 sacks

Jarvis Jones
1st year = 1 sack
2nd year = 2 sacks
3rd year = ?? sacks

Lets give these new guys a chance is really all I'm saying.
How old were they during those seasons?

Porter had 60 sacks in 8 yrs as a Steeler. He was pretty much defined as a terror. Would you settle for that from Jarvis?
