Something to think about...

I'm sure the talent around James and Jason had zero difference in their production. Steelerfan81, no worries here. After spending time as a Special Ops Marine and now the Chairman for a state Athletic Commission I can discern well between educated smack talk and well...just talking smack.

Fine, fair enough. I didn't think it was directed toward me. I like to mix it up once in a while, but I don't look to piss people off either. We are all fans of the greatest franchise in professional sports. I'm sure that we don't agree on everything, but I think we can all accept that point as fact.

Jarvis Jones was our second round pick. Bell was first. That is fact. It bothers me a lot less. I'm sure there are at least 15 teams that would trade whoever they picked in the first round for Bell.
 
What really bothered me was all of our Big draft guru's on this site stated JJ would be a bad pick months before the draft even happened. I prayed we didn't draft him....Well we did. Now I pray that somehow he works out.

And perhaps some excellent masking agents thrown in for good measure.

I wanted Patterson. You make a great point here. Ive always heard that most players make a huge jump in year three . . .lets wait and see, maybe JarJar comes around for us.
 
I really hope year three is the charm for JJ! If JJ, Thomas, and Shazier, workout and Dupree can be special as a rookie, this defense will be really good!!

Maybe if Dupree pans out, he'll be able to chase opposing QBs into JJ's arms? Unless, of course, JJ is square dancing with a TE....

I think you guys should be commended for the job you do keeping up with the place. I like the idea of sending someone a message before they cross the line so they know where it is. As to hot buttons there are lots of strong debates regarding players coaches etc but as long as guys continue to debate the topic and not the poster it generally goes well and adds interest to the site just from the length of the threads and the number of folks that jump into the fray.

Now that you bring it up I wonder what some of these guys have as their main objective. A poster that was recently banned and given a two day vacation came back and seemed to do nothing but make smart *** comments to any and all that posted anything to do with him. I have not seen him or his caustic comments for a while and wonder if the ban hammer did not drive him into the dirt this time.
