Well, I guess it all factors in to why they are what they are...which is stubborn to the point of self-defeating by not game planning more in accordance with a defense's weakness. Haley's game plan, underwritten by Tomlin. Ben's execution was, in my mind, predictably bad. Not sure why he felt compelled to repeatedly throw at Ramsey, no matter who he was covering. One thing I am certain we can agree on--depressing *** game.Becsuse we are a pass firsr team and that is what Ben likes. It gives him easier reads. The defense cant disguise what they are doing when spread out. At least that is the premise
I agree, hate the empty backfield set, no disgue, they know it's a pass

The run worked? When? Bell is just as bad as Ben, maybe worse. He's mediocre on the ground and **** in the pass game. Bryant is bad too. The line play is bad. The only one worth a **** on O is Brown. The plays are bad, the execution is worse. The offense is junk, top to bottom.
They came out of the half throwing with the lead. They were running early but when they got behind after the two pick 6's in 90 seconds then ya gotta start throwing.
Coates started off well, then Eli stepped up, and Bell was ridiculous all season catching out of the backfield, one game Ladarius actually showed up. It seemed like almost every game there was another wr that made some plays, now Eli has been benched, so we have Bryant who missed an entire year who obviously doesn't have an explosion right now and a rookie in JuJu, Hunter had one look and ran the wrong routeHe had **** last year and played better though, or not?
Tonlin is freakin stupid. I mean who calls 5 Ints? Stupid Stupid Stupid.
I do blame him for the first down spot challenge. That was a bad challenge. The AB challenge is all AB's fault with his ******* ego. He knows that ball hit the ground. Don't tell the coach to throw the flag, if you know you freakin trapped it.
Haley and Ben share the most blame today. Honestly, after the first 5 weeks with empty back sets on short yardage, 8 screens per game, running 1 yard drags, not setting up other plays with formations and earlier plays in a game, something has to change. The Ravens would fire their OC at this point for ******** the bed for 5 straight weeks. Too bad the Steelers are loyal to their coaches, because all the parts are here for a SB, just not the playcalling or QB execution.
The D is carrying this team, and it isn't even close.
The D has been getting run through like a las Vegas hooker. Howard, Cohen and Fournette all had career days vs this defense, We got Kareem Hunt this week. Wouldn't be suprised if he went 200+. The offensive line is pretty terrible and Ben should not be throwing 55 times vs the #1 pass defense. I blame Haley and Tomlin. Why abandon a running game that was so dominant vs the worst ranked run d in the league. Thats just bad coaching. Ben had a really bad day but that has little to do with the bad coaching and scheming, that has been an issue for a long time.
Think maybe the fact that Bell averaged a whole 3 yards per carry played into the team abandoning the run? Damn, some of you are acting as if Bell was ripping off massive runs, and gaining 5-6 yards a clip. The run game was ineffective yesterday. Not to absolve the gameplan, but yesterday truly was a fail in terms of player execution.

One thing I have been wondering is that WR coach who said it was his last year.....has been lame duck coaching as well. Because outside Antonio those wide-outs have been unimpressive.
Outside of AB, NONE of our WR or TE know how to get separation or use their body on contested passes. A big part of it is lazy route running, rounding off their breaks, and not running routes at full speed.
This is where I wish we knew the routes that we're supposed to be ran or if QB and wr arent on the same page.Outside of AB, NONE of our WR or TE know how to get separation or use their body on contested passes.
