So let's look at the melt-down...

We get it. In your eyes Shades can't do any wrong. Nothing is his fault. Or if someone is at fault it's all whitey Big Ben's fault. It doesn't matter how inept Tomlin is at clock mgmt, challenges, game planning, dealing with the lockerroom, etc. It's absolutely embarrassing how ridiculous the arguments you Tomlin nuthuggers use. BTW, weren't you the dolt wbo a few years ago claimed that Shades only responsibility was dealing with the press? Or was that Antdrew?

wtf are you?
chiming in on all of 23 posts, so obviously you are barely here or rarely comment. either way, you probably should read the whole thread before spouting off half-cocked, as I laid out exactly my thoughts.

Porter, not Tomlin made the announcement that we were moving on with 2 young guys or some words to that effect. I get the he's the position coach argument but when dealing with a Steelers legend that statement should have come from the HC, not Peezy who shoulda already been fired at that point for yet another nightclub incident. And to string Harrison along all season was disrespectful and that's on Shades. Very poor decisions were made re: James imo. That doesn't excuse his behavior of late, just my take on perhaps why he's acting the ***.

I can't say if the numbers bear it out but I'm in the Harrison > Durpee club, and he shoulda been starting.

There are, certainly, other items that influence the numbers. However, I, still, expected the numbers to show a bigger divide. For example, Harrison didn't have Watt on the other side also demanding attention. Many stills can be shown of Harrison being "blocked" by what a normal person would consider a hold. OTOH, without Harrison, our sack numbers have gone up, even if not coming from that position.

Again, I'm not stating that Durpee was better, just that, maybe, the results would not have been as significantly different as we imagine. I do think that Harrison should have had the edge on "starting", just based upon past performance and the intimidation factor, albeit to a lesser degree in the past due to advancing age.

There may have been other factors that lead to him not playing or the belief that his playing may not have been as much a bump as we think.

Wow, I thought the SN political board was rough waters, a tough neighborhood, etc. Nothing we say to each other there can hold a candle to the vitriol in this thread. LOL love my fellow Steelers fans, you can feel the passion bursting through the seams.

We are supposed to fight there, it is what it is for, not here. Man I wish you were half as smart in that forum as you are here LOL.

This. I went back and looked at the numbers Ark and found they're nearly identical if you consider games played. Harrison only had 2 sacks in the one game with the cheats contrary to what another poster said. Bud had 6 that year. His switch to the ROLB netted us 5.5 this year.

To me, I think they should have erred on the side of the Harrison. I followed him on twatter and all he posted that year were his workout videos, not a bad word about what he was dealing with. Now in his post football career he's choosing to address it and not in a good way, and it's casting a bad shadow over the Steelers organization.

Being that Porter was shown the door so quick, the nighclub crap, the WPIAL high school football crap, the poor OLB production and Harrison/AB crap, I have to believe that this is all Rooney, and Tomlin has no control. Rooney's making the calls right now. Saxson? No idea how he fits this and don't figure we will.

That was Harrisons last 2 years as a starter. The difference is so slight, saying that, 1 year later, that Harrison was just as good might not be accurate. Similar to Coach's assertion that the dude with about a 1 yard better net punt is "better".

You will note that i didnt say Durpee was better and he was , certainly, less intimidating. What i am saying is that the results are less than what anyone, probably, expected. I had no idea what they would be when i looked them up. That difference seems barely significant.

We don't know, exactly what happened. James wanted to be on the field and didn't get to be. That made him angry. You wouldn't like him when he is angry. I wouldn't have wanted to he the one to tell him he wasn't playing, for sure. Maybe, that is something that contributed to him continuing to not play.

I wish he would have been used more. Seeing him in a *'s uniform was ugly

Thought you said that your stats were based on Harrison's last year as a starter, but it doesn't really matter -- I believe we're driving at the same point. I think that the eye test told us that Harrison was clearly better, but even assuming they were 100% equal, it still doesn't add up that James was benched and banished, while still Dupree remains in Tomlin's starting lineup.

I don’t know about fear of losing political connections but there has already been at least one article about the firings or black HCs. It’d be a shame if they wanted to fire Tomlin, but were too afraid of how it would look and what would be said and written.

It's really disheartening that even today, race is a defining attribute.

The REAL question Is whether Mike Tomlin is meeting the Organization's expectations or not. He isn't meeting the overall fan base's expectations for sure, but the fan bases loyalty keeps us from be a relevant part of Tomlin's story. If we would all stop showing up to games and buying merchandise, hitting ownership where it hurts, we could affect change...but that isn't going to happen.

I think I did two years to get two full seasons and approximately the same snap counts. I didn't save the calculations though.

Careful Supe,.............. The other day I had it pointed out to me that Beacon and Bacon were two different things. None the less I proceeded in putting each in my cooker and cooked them to their best. I proceeded to eat each one respectively and found one to be better tasting than the other...... Some here might look at you as a meal but ME, I look at you as a Beacon of joy while I eat my home cooked Bacon all the while sitting here and thinking about how ******* stupid some people are (not U).......... !!!!!

Enjoy the day Mr.
