So here's how you know Tomlin was out coached,

The only td the O allowed was the pouncey snap, the D is allowed to hold them to a fg, but 3 plays for 50 yards and a TD is fine.
Nice totally skipping over the lack of scheming ****.

Not much scheming to do with guys who have barely played and are lucky to be lined up correctly. We got outplayed not out schemed on those plays. our middle was slow and our outside secondary on half the field was non existent due to injuries some in game. When you are thin you cant account for those additional losses. A good sign for next year though is it hurt having Highsmith out. He will be a real player. We really needed Haden in this game and should have played less of Spillane he wasn't ready. That and Feiler are the two coaching decisions I did not like.

Tim. The injuries is just football. The offense was without Zack Banner. That is it. otherwise fully intact. The defense obviously lost two very key pieces. But everyone takes injuries.

Take away turnovers and the offense looked pretty damn good tonight. We even had some runs and could have done more if were not down.

Yes, this season. I'm speaking of the past decade. I wish I had a list. But it's quite literally every season we lose 2-3 marquee players. That's not normal. Ben several times alone. There's something in the water. Or maybe it's just me.

i think it's just you. that's just the state of the game today; every team in the league loses a couple of very important starters.

They are a thin team. They have a ton of bloated talent and remortgage contracts. They lack depth.

Feiler came back after having how long off? Dotson deserved the right to play. I also haven’t seen mentioned Ben’s performance after an off/bye week. He should have played at least a half last week, especially after building momentum from the Indy game. Also, Fichtner is the worst offender on this team (other than Tomlin); take the second Watt carry; they air mail what they’re doing in down/distance situations. “Oh let’s run out of the gun 75% of the time, but in 3rd/4th and short situations, we should be able to really confuse them when we line up under center with a fullback out there!” Predictability, and NO willingness to change is what did them in.

You can't take away four turnovers. That is the game. But I would say they never come out good. Wonder why. I can blame the coaches for the defense. They were not in a situation to play safe and they did.

Yeah. Take away my uncle's dick, and he'd be my aunt.

you are correct but the problem is severely magnified when they are all the same position group. You ca over come injuries but but when they stack at one position and that position is basically the QB of the defense it hurts a lot of things besides just talent.

Tomlin has been terrible with coaching hires. Munchak fell into his lap. Other than that, who comes asking about steeler coaches? Nobody because it's known they are all below the line.

It was clear that Arians was hurting Ben both physically and mentally by encouraging him to hold the ball and look for big plays nearly every play. He had to go but Tomlin wouldn't do it. It was so obvious that Arians was hurting Ben's career that the Rooneys stepped in and fired Arians.

Fichtner has to go. So does Sarrett. I don't see how anybody can argue otherwise. It is so apparent that Fichtner has absolutely no idea how to evaluate film and attack his opponent's weakness. That's why the steelers start slowly every week. It takes him into the second half to figure out what will work.

There is a saying about coaching adjustments. In high school, you make adjustments for the next game. In college, you make adjustments at halftime. In the NFL, you better make adjustments by the series or you're done.

Collinsworth alluded to it in the game. The Browns played a lot of cover 2, so they were playing to take away the deep throws. Many teams did that to the steelers. Once they realized the steelers OL sucked and they couldn't run the ball, it was obvious, just take away the deep ball.

To Ficthner, this basically meant throw up your hands and just throw short. Anybody think the chiefs next week will say Oh no, Browns are in cover 2, sorry Tyreek Hill, i guess we'll just have to throw short to you all game...

Late in the game, Ben hit JuJu in the deep middle. This is the weakness of the cover 2. Collinsworth remarked that he didn't understand why the steelers hadn't done that sooner. I mean, one would think that Tomlin who came from Dungy's Tampa 2 scheme would know damn well how to attack it. Could you possibly pass that on to Fichtner?

Yeah, blame the defense when the offense put them in a 28-0 hole.

Lots of blame to go around. Offense put them in a whole. Defense giving up chunk plays. Coaching decisions. Not sure why there always has to be a scapegoat. For the record,,we have ALWAYS had a habit of losing games we should have won. I can point to a number under Cowher too. Noll, not so much.

Tomlin is wayyy too comfortable in his position. He knows he can **** up as much as he wants and he’s always going to keep his position.

Listen, it’s great we’ve 3 HC’s in 500 years or whatever but everyone needs to be held accountable and this is becoming a big trend of slowly declining as the season goes. For everyone who wants to blame Ben for the declining.. he didn’t play last year and we sucked all through December just like this year and 2018.

Tomlin is untouchable and he knows it. He has no urgency to make changes anywhere because what’s he care? His job is safe no matter.

4 and 1 at midfield with all the momentum on offense and he punts... just unreal. We get that first down and score on that drive, we win.

Tomlin has been propped up by Ben his entire head coaching career. If he’s smart he’ll retire the second Ben hangs them up.

Except that Ben was at the helm in everyone of those disappointing losses. He doesn’t get a pass. He has tended to come out flat (that’s his MO anymore), then plays hero ball in the 2nd half. You want to blame that on Tomlin, go ahead, but I have some pretty high expectations for a HOF QB too.

In Ben’s defense, the first fumble wasn’t on him. Would have been nice if he recovered it, but you knew it was going to be a night when that’s how it started.

What game were you watching. Cleveland was up 28 to nothing and I’d bet they hadn’t run 15 plays. They were getting blown off the ball. Huge chunk plays.

Defense withoiut bud and bush and haden..
Sorry but browns would have done just as well.

Offense : nothing. Just nothing to add to this game. Ben tries to carry. He cant carry the weight of Feichtner . And Feilter who has been out.
THe bad snap, ben gets a pass. the tipped ball , Pass. Other than that , its on him. I konw he was pressing to compensate, But this is partly on him.

This Browns team was locked out of the facility this week. Their Play caller wasnt even in the building today, or this week.

We got out coached,, and were unprepared.

Throwing all our draft picks on defense,, showed. Art II has some serious decisions to make. If he doesnt it will be much of the same for years.
Ill end saying this: No ben , no wins. Hes a HOFer. But hes pretty much done. Im done with Mike Tomlin.

Prepare for 10 years of ******* hell on earth.

We have seen everything that Tomlin can do. He is only good enough make it to the playoffs but can't win in the playoffs. The Jason Garrett syndrome.

Look I’ve been saying this for years. Tomlin won with Bill Cowher players and coaches.

He’s 3-7 in the last ten playoff games. No other coach is that bad.

So the last 3 years where we collapsed when the games got big. Or the last two playoff games at home where we gave up 45+, or winning 3 playoff games in 10 years. Has not much to do with him?
Reminded me of the local first-round high school playoffs where the first seeds play the last seeds and most of the games end with the mercy rule in effect.
Been saying for several years that Tomlin's ceiling is around 9-7 to 11-5 with a first-round playoff loss.

When is the last time this team
Won a playoff game?

2016. The thing is the Steelers have had so many chances. Fans get excited. Tomlin is 3-7 in the last ten playoff games. Most of the time we are favored to win.

Look at the QBs during that time.

Wins over backup A.J. McCarron, Alex Smith, and backup Matt Moore.

Losses to Tim Tebow, Joe Flacco, Peyton Manning, Tom Brady, Blake Bortles, Baker Mayfield.

Point of order but Arians wasn't fired, they just didn't renew his contract when it ran out. Same with LeBeau and Haley. Apparently the team will no longer fire coordinators and assistants, they just wait for their contracts to run out.

Remember when the Tomlin nut swingers would come here defending him left and right??? LOL that was comical.

At some point, a coaches playoff record needs to be factored. The loss to the Blake Bortles Jax team was just as bad as losing to Tim Tebow. Including today, that is 3 inexcusable playoff losses on his resume.

You mean 3-6 during the past 10 years of playoff games? You mean 4 of those 6 losses as favorites? You mean the last 2 losses at home giving up 40+ points??? That would cost anyone else in this league their job, for sure.
