So here's what I've done (thus far) to ensure a Steelers victory:
1. No Steelers gear at all. Just wearing nondescript stuff. Anytime it's a late game and I deck out in my gear we lose. So I've learned my lesson and am dressed neutral, like a traffic cop on his off day at a church picnic.
2. Getting out of the shower tonight, I cleaned my ears with qtips, three turns in left ear, three in the right (that's six), then a single time back in the left ear (stairway to seven).
3. Got plenty of 420 cued up, cause that makes the night pass easier, win or lose. Plus it beckons Snoop Dog and his Steelers swag.
4. I let a little air out of my kids' beach ball they had in the corner of the room, left over from summer vacation, just because.
5. I scrubbed my large screen tv with windex - that I have my laptop hooked up to with the nfl game app - cause it's the season opener and we need a clean tv screen for that. It is what it is.
6. I updated video card driver on said laptop, closed all running background apps, to ensure a lag-free game feed. Every blade of grass, baby.
7. Will slowly but surely pound a few beers leading up to kickoff, resulting in posts like this.
8. Nothing, and I mean nothing, would be more satisfying than to see the Steelers beat the Pats tonight in their Mushy-Brady-Crying-SB-Banner-Hanging sob fest in ******* New England. Thus, it must happen that way.
9. Cause I love you all, my Steelers brothers and sisters.
10. Big Ben will carry this team with LeVeon out, and I have a completely unsubstantiated gut feeling our defense will actually show up tonight.
Go Steelers!!!
