I'd like to know what was said to the Defense at halftime of the Bengals game. Whole different second half.

I think Coryea is talking about the first 3 quarters we came out with an extra lineman a couple of TE's or sometimes a fullback. Mainly with 1 WR and Bell it seemed. In the 4th quarter we spread them out. Bell still got his yards rushing but the passing game also opened up. So why the wait to open it up?

I thought it was a mistake to force the run again, but it worked this time, especially on the first drive. I didn't like the pass calls out of the jumbo sets though. Without a player to stretch the field the gayvens safteys were not respecting the deep pass. Didn't both of Ben's INT's come throwing out of jumbo sets? Once we went spread and brought Ayers in to go deep, it seemed like the middle of the field opened up and Ben played much better. Good thing about Bell: he is a great runner no matter if its a jumbo or spread offense.

Chick with impossible to pronounce last name says in the post game interview that she talked to Tomlin and at the start of the 4th he told the offense "If they wanted this game they had to go out and get it!"

Where was the "go out and get it" for the first three quarters? I swear sometimes the guy just needs to be smacked upside the head. Maybe use THAT speech in the tunnel heading out BEFORE THE ******* GAME Mike.

Just a thought.

Some people like to complain Tomlin is poor at in game management.Here is an apparent example of him trying to motivate his players during the game and he's getting lambasted for it lol guy can't win.

Just because he said something to them during the game doesn't mean he didn't attempt to do that before the game and during the first three quarters does it?

The Steelers play AFCN opponents twice a season. Tomlins game plan and how the offense executes that plan is always fluid. Give Tomlin and Ben some credit for feeling the Rats Defense for crissakes.
Two out of bounds kick offs and two picks could have been a disaster, I thought the Coach and the team did well picking themselves up off the mat and doing what had to be done.

Yeah I think this is a dumb post. I'm not a fan of Tomlin but we lost the last four to them and they do have a pretty good D. We won, clinched a playoff berth and scored more points on them than any other team this season and that includes the Patriots who hosted them. It also includes Dallas. What the he are you complaint jnv about? BTW what about minimizing the damage in the red zone? Ben gave them at minimum 6 points and the two crappy kickoffs could be worth another three because their kicker is the best in the league. The only beef I have is right before Baltimore was about to score time was not a detriment to them anymore. It was a detriment to us. I may have called a timeout before the TD but that's me.

On Sunday, the team didn’t pound themselves into a brick wall, instead getting a defensive linemen off the field by going to 11 personnel, while simply doubling and sealing the Ravens' interior defenders and running a gap outside of them. So Williams may have been immovable at the point of attack and won his gap, but the Steelers created rushing lanes outside of his responsibility, forcing other players like Dumervil, Zachary Orr and Mosley to make plays consistently in the run game.

Dang good spy there. I noticed the difference from the FIRST game to the second game also. OUR coach is starting to change opinions and I for one like that.
