season reset

I'm assuming fans of other teams are seeing the Steelers are their schedule and seeing them as a very beatable opponent as well.

We need to see more from Rudolph before assuming anything, as he could be another Landry Jones, with the Steelers looking at a 2-3 win season.

Under Tomlin, it's not like the Steelers have rolled through the "easy" games on the schedule, even with an established franchise QB.

Only a die hard, eternally optimistic, Steeler beer goggles wearing member of Steeler Nation, would be predicting more than 7 wins from this edition of the Pittsburgh Steelers.

OK here ya go Dino, take a good gander thru these...

GO STILLERS

Have you not paid attention to how this team plays against “easy opponents” historically?

Yes, and that's why I said good coaching I needed. Yes Tomlin lead teams get defeated too often by .500 and below teams, HOWEVER his record vs the .500 and below teams is still on the plus side and we face plenty of those teams.

Our remaining schedule is in fact on the easy side, and we play many bad teams just like I said.

We should have won the Seattle game. Stupid players sunk us.

I seen enough of Rudolph to say he's better than Randy Jones. If Ready Jones was the QB for the season, the seasons over. A 2 to 3 win season? I highly doubt that. While losing Ben was a blow, suddenly we 3 good players among the 4 starting DB's. When was the last time that happened? Our DB's as a group have sucked for years.

All Rudolph has to do is limit interceptions ( And throwing it to Moncrief ) and we'll start winning games provided the stupid players stay the heck off the field which is why we lost the Seahawks game. Davis is gone for the year. Moncrief benched. Big Dan doesn't see many snaps.

You used the words "good coaching" and "Tomlin" in the same paragraph. I'm just saying.....

I really think Ben being gone, will elevate the way everyone plays. and how coaches coach. Ben has been winning for so long, everyone just takes it for granted. now the coaches have to actually coach, call good plays etc. and every player has to step up.

It's a QB-driven league and we still have no idea what they have in Rudolph.

That combined with what the running game and defense have shown through the first two games, I do not yet see much reason for optimism.

Maybe Rudolph will be legit and Fitzpatrick will transform the defense, but I need to see it first.

I honestly do not trust a Tomlin-coached team to accomplish much of anything without Roethlisberger.

Well, if they need that extra motivation to prepare and execute, this organization has even bigger problems than we thought.

Agreed but **** even us fans kinda know if the coaches cant figure it out, ben probaly is enough to win. Now no Ben. These guys will be coaching for thier lives

Who is Randy Jones? And this Ready Jones you speak of?

If we manage to lose to the Bungles we're staring at 1 to 3 wins. And no first round pick. And Dumbass Coolshades keeping his job because he lost his starting QB in the 2nd game of the season.

I'm living in my fears.

yes you said 3-13 last night is that what you are sticking with?

I was looking at our schedule and seeing who we could realistically beat

Miami
Cincy twice
Jets

Even sweeping the Bengals seemed a stretch so yes, 3-13 looked reasonable scoring less than 30 against the others with our swiss cheese defense

Could they over-achieve and get to 5-11, 6-10? sure, I hope they do, but with a history of underachieving coaching and over-inflating arrogance, i have to see it to believe it

If Ben doesn't go down I still think this team would win a lot of games. I think he was hurt in the NE game. The clowns are still the clowns, bungles are bungles, Miami, Jets, Buffalo.. hell that's 7 right there. Split with the rats is 8.

7-9

This season is already over unless Rudolph plays much better, the defense can stop the run, and the OL can open up holes for the backs. Yeah, I'm telling you there is a chance.
