clearly the predictions we made before the season might be a bit different today. lets start again. with MR as qb I say we go 10-4.

If you meant 10-6 I'm with you, but even a 9-7 record - squeezing into the playoffs with Rudolf Mason - would be impressive enough. Question being what's up with the Ravens and that Air Coryell offense? They're gonna light up the league like that, scoring at whim? Where's Joe Flacco when you need him? Not worried about the Bengals or Browns. Steelers still have a shot in the division, Sister Mary Jane willing. ;)

MR from week 3 goes 10-4 we as a season goes 10-6

I think much of it depends on the defense and how it's schemed. Rudolph, when he was in -- the offense was humming. They were motioning guys, using some misdirection and bunch WR sets, play-action etc.

Just don't understand why the offense didn't look that way AT ALL with Ben at the helm.

that is almost my point. each steeler from head coach to long snapper has to dig deeper with Ben out. We have to call better plays block better tackle better do everything better. we will play better as a team vrs relying on Ben to figure it out. 10-4 from here on out.

I hope Rudolph gets us to the playoffs.. realistically, I see this team going 6-10, maybe 7-9.

Ben ran this team. we all know it. he is done for the year. everyone else has to step up huge. this might work out for us! 10-4

I started out 8-8

Seems I may have been a bit optimistic

Originally I said 10-6 but I'll drop that to 8-8.

I have gradually went lower. I continue that with a 8 and 8 final record. Which would make Mason 8 and 6 as a starter.

We're already in a hole at 0-2. I'd like to see how Rudolph plays this week before feeling one way or the other but I do like him as a QB.

I can see us in the 7-9 to 9-7 range. If Minkah shores up the D and the rest of the D gels together somehow, 9-7 is definitely within reach and maybe even 10-6.

So, I will be on the optimistic side and say we go 9-7. Unfortunately that won't get us to the playoffs but it will show that we probably have our QB of the future on the team.

My original prediction pre Ben injury was 11-5 but post Ben injury I was wavering at first I must admit to 8-8 but then thinking more on it, with the young Mr.Rudolph running the offense and the addition of Minkah I'm only changing by one game to 10-6 and it starts in SF. I like what I see in Mason and think we'll see a different offense.

They'll beat the Jets, Cardinals, Dolphins, Bengals x2, and split the Browns series as I think they'll start to gel later in the season.

6-10 for the season.

They'll beat the Dolphins and Jets. A couple very fine individual performances will get a couple more wins. I'm guessing by JuJu and Watt.
Most of the time, though, the opposition will run at will on our 2 DL alignment, and throw short passes at will on our soft zone coverage, and outcoach us strategically every week.
4-12. I hope Minkah Fitzpatrick is worth a top 5 pick.

Week to week I would like to see some improvement and a formation of some kind of cohesiveness and intelligent game planning.....reset, yeah I like that...reset

Where's Mike Mularkey nowadays ? Imagine what "Inspector Gadget." could do for this kid after bringing the likes of Tommy Maddox up from the ash pile.

Jury is still out (for me) on Baltimore until they play someone decent. Cleveland and Cincy are not impressing. Could still grind our way to top of division.

My heart says 12-4, reality is nearer to 7-9. I'm going with 10-6.

Salute the nation

I was 9-7 before the injury. I'm thinking no better than 7-9 at this point and that is barring further significant injuries.

Three things the fan base will be watching, how well Mason does, if the team steps up and elevates their game and especially how Tomlin coaches. we still have a fairly rough schedule before the break. Cincy may have a bad record but they play us cose, we all know Cleveland wants this to be the year and now a rooie QB they will lick their chops, Baltimore always is hard on us, that is reality, heart says we win them all
