Rounds 4 to 7 Discussion

Hawkins, we're staying true to our visits.

And there goes the NFL Network again ... talking all the way through the Steelers pick ... Them and ESPN .. can't stand these *******!

Billings to the Bengals, great pick. His knee is fine according to Mayock, his slide, was all.about not being a pass rusher.

'Tis must mean the end of the Mike Adams story. We hardly knew ya...

You know what .. **** you too Eissen ... "Let's talk about Hawkins for the Pittsburgh Steelers here ... ya know what? Let's just go to break". **** you! **** You! **** You! Could've went out and mowed the lawn for this ****!

called him a two down player

I have no prob with adding depth on the o-line. Another young (junior) pick with plenty of upside.

Has natural left tackle feet with the coordinated shuffle and bend to stay square to rushers and mirror in space. Very good initial quickness off the snap, smoothly sliding laterally in pass protection as well as when releasing to the second level in the running game. Effective cut blocker in part because of his initial burst.

Hawkins has long arms to latch on to edge rushers and shows good awareness of blitzes and twists, switching from one opponent to the next efficiently. Though he needs to gain power in his upper body, Hawkins anchors well, showing core strength, balance and knee bend to hold up to bull rushers.

Still far from a polished product, Hawkins is one of the more intriguing underclassmen tackles in the 2016 draft with starting experience on both sides in a pro-style offense against top competition. With greater commitment to hand placement on the field and the weight room off it, Hawkins could emerge as a starting tackle in the NFL, as well.

Let's call it like it is....the Cincinnati Bengals have had an incredible draft and have bent the Steelers over the entire way. Thankfully, we bend them over on the field...lol.

The Bengals got a steal with Billings. Steelers seem to be running to the podium in each round. It's almost like their pick is there every time. They have definitely gone with best player at areas of need rather than BPA this year.

I don't see that at all. Billings was not a need anymore. Burns and Jackson are close. Burns is younger and has way more upside. Getting Hargrave was a big time pickup.

Let's give the German guy a shot!

Looks to me like the Bengals draft from the Internet mock boards. The Steelers have done their research, reached deeper, and found their players. That is why we kick their ***** more often than not. I would argue that the Bengals draft by popular name. Little skill is involved..

Amen!

Damn, if we don't somehow move up into the 5th, this is gonna be a looooong wait till the 45th pick in the 6th round.

would you trade a 4 next year to move into the 5th? I'm pretty sure that would be the asking price

Btw for those lamenting the Bengirls drafting Billings 'ahead of us'... the correct interpretation - and the cold, hard reality - is the Steelers simply chose Hargrave over Billings. They considered Hargrave a better player and a better fit. End of story.

Yep once we got Hargrave, we were never taking Billings. And apparently the word on him is he is a 2 down player and I think Butler is moving toward generating more penetration and pass rush from the line, rather than space eaters. Billings would have been a great Casey Hampton replacement in a Lebeau defense, but Hargrave is the better choice in Butler's D

Now let's get a wide receiver!!!
