The ball hitting the ground is irrelevant, it only comes into play when receiver is going to the ground IN THE PROCESS of a catch, which was not the case in this instance, Jessie caught the ball, as he went to one knee, made a football move completing the process of a catch, one ball crossed goal line, play over Touch Down. Blown call plain and simple!
Hand was under the ball, the ball is allowed to touch the ground.

He caught the ball, and had both knees down. At that point, after securing and completing the catch, he reaches out and breaks the plane of the goal line. Play over, touchdown. That was bullshit cheating and a lie by the officials, plain and simple. This happens every ******* year to help these ********. I'm this close to being done with the NFL. It's WWF on a field.

No. Forget a football move. The NFL removed that verbiage from the rule a few years back. Had he stayed on his feet and not gone to the ground, the catch would have been deemed completed, therefore reaching out and breaking the plane of the goal line would have been a TD.

Sorry....in every league besides the NFL...high school, college, flag, pee-wee....that's a TD. We got robbed. Lets just hope AB is ok, otherwise this great season will end with prob one and done in the playoffs.

That was a bullshit call he caught it in the field of play then reached it across!!!! The Giants game the wr lunged hit the pylon, lost the ball and it was considered a catch.

When his knee hit and he reached the ball over the goal line, he was extending the play then because he wasn't touched. The fact that the ball moved, it was the continuation. Wrong call. No way that should have been overturned.

Thats the part that makes no sense, if he didn't have control and possession how could he have turned his body and stretched the ball over the line AFTER his knee was down.

Hey, it is what it is. We won the game and lost the game on the same play...it happens. I too thought he made a football move, thus was a runner but evidently I too was wrong. Damn the luck.
We also lost the game by not double covering Gronk.Davis played his best but got out muscled all night.
We lost the game by trying a high risk trick play instead of an almost guaranteed field goal...Thanks Todd..
And lastly...IMHO, we lost the game because #25 played the worst game in the last 5 games (that he also sucked in BTW). That kid don't put but minimal effort in his tackling. He falls for some mystical thought process that let's his man run right past him unchallenged...amazing ! That goal line attempt to tackle the RB was like Pee Wee Herman's worst effort like. Come-on Man ! Somebody tell that jammock that he's allowed to use his hands.
All in all we took it to them *******'s and I ain't askeered to play them again... AB or no AB. Just shut down that monster TE ...please.
Two more wins and we sit for a week...shouldn't be a BFD.

the INT shouldn't have happened, so it's moot because they shouldn't have had to run the play. They should have been lining up for the extra point, *******.
The only people that have been robbed are the Rooneys when they gave Tomlin that last contract extension............
