Robbed!!

the INT shouldn't have happened, so it's moot because they shouldn't have had to run the play. They should have been lining up for the extra point, *******.

The play was a fade throw the ******* fade out of bounds or when no one came open throw it in the stands. But im sure the coaches told him TD or bust Ben.

Sorry....in every league besides the NFL...high school, college, flag, pee-wee....that's a TD. We got robbed. Lets just hope AB is ok, otherwise this great season will end with prob one and done in the playoffs.

How do you figure that? Wasnt his knee down before he crossed? You guys cant have it both ways...If he knee was down first in HS college or whatever the ball would have been dead before the goal line. If the ball was not over the goal line before the knee hits then he has to complete the catch. At least the nose of the ball hits the ground. Either way I do not think it was a catch by the rules. We did not lose the game on that play and at worst should have been in OT. The pats had 4 guys along the goaline plus a LB underneath. That pass should not have been thrown. It did look like PI, but was still a terrible choice.

And lastly...IMHO, we lost the game because #25 played the worst game in the last 5 games (that he also sucked in BTW). That kid don't put but minimal effort in his tackling. He falls for some mystical thought process that let's his man run right past him unchallenged...amazing ! That goal line attempt to tackle the RB was like Pee Wee Herman's worst effort like. Come-on Man ! Somebody tell that jammock that he's allowed to use his hands.
Davis and Burns: Sophomore slump? Let's hope. Otherwise, we're looking at drafting DBs early again. Haden is Haden... we don't know entirely what we have in Sutton, but it'd be interesting to see if a Sutton/Haden tandem would work. And let me add that if the D coaches (I'm looking specifically at you, Carnell) aren't teaching fundamental or getting in the players faces when those fundamental are lacking, then they should also be on a very short leash.

Nobody ran a fade route.

Yes...the ball hit the ground all 87 times i watched...no catch....goal line doesnt matter for pass catchers...on!y runners

I don’t understand why you’re having such a hard time understanding this.... once a player makes a football move... i.e. reaching the ball across the goal line while clearly possessing it with two hands... the securing the catch aspect of the play is completed. That’s why the rule stipulates “make a football move”.... he clearly did that when he reached it across. It doesn’t matter one little bit if the ball touches the ground while making a football move , only while securing the catch.

First, this is not a case of Jessie going to the ground, he wasn't, he was going to one knee, if this was anywhere else he just waits to be tapped, he caught the ball went to one knee, realized how close the goal line was MADE A FOOTBALL move to get the ball across the plane of goal, Touch down, end of play. If he was going to the ground during catch, then yes he would have to maintain control of it, but that was NOT the case and it is not what happened, It was only after he made the catch he turned and extended, blown call all the way and there is no discussion!

Exactly correct! These refs ******* blew this call.

If we clock it there with 13 seconds left at the 6 or whatever, everyone here is bitching that Tomlin or Ben are poor clock managers, we tried to win the damn game, their DB made a play. Should've never come to that we beat their cheating *****.

Des Bryant agrees with you. His wasn't a catch either.

So why didn’t the greatest coach in the whole wide world call for a low percentage play instead of a fade route? It’s a team game right? Once again Ben has to be smarter than Tomlin and Haley or it’s all his fault

Has to be smarter then haley or Tomlin..smh nobody open throw it away..simple and anyone saying anything different is full of ****. 14th ******* year and has to be told to throw it away if nothing is there in that situation.

It’s been a ****** up rule since forever meant to make it easy on the ****** officials. If James is upright and a defender knocks the ball out of his hand, it’s a TD. The only instance where breaking the plane doesn’t score. Stupid.

Yeah, I remember a call earlier this year when we found out that TD rules for receivers are different than rules for runners.

The DB made a good play, it happens for ***** sake

Yeah, it really wasn't a terrible throw, but the timing of the entire play was off, apparently due to miscommunication between Ben and the sideline.

My bigger issue was with the second down play. That ball should have gone either in or out the back of the end zone.

You mean like the great Tom Brady, threw a pick to Williams.

I agree, Batch on the post game was saying that's a pretty common route there try to get your fastest guy drag across the middle and hope his speed gets him in

Let's assume the ruling on the catch was correct. Why was the rule changed to stipulate that the receiver must not only catch the ball with two feet, or other body parts in bounds, AND maintain possession until a part time official decides to blow his whistle?

Who thought that was a good idea? I don't understand football anymore. Maybe that's what the league wants.

So Ben sucks again huh? It would be nice if the ignore feature worked for quotes too.
