Forget the 8-5 record for a moment.

The Steelers are 4-1 in the last five games and in each of these game the Steelers scored 30 points or more. The loss was to Seattle on the road. No team outside of Carolina has been this good in the past five games.

I am aligned with that thinking coach...

This Sunday will really tell the tale of the 2015 Pittsburgh Steelers.

Agreed! A win here, and no one wants to play us. I don't care if we are a #6 seed in the playoffs. The offense is amazing!

I think when we take care of the football you are correct. When we turn the ball over we defeat ourselves. I hope we make it into the tournament and do some damage. Would love to see us playing in Super Bowl 50. Gotta make the dance first.

I can't buy it with this defense. Even the offense struggles at times. Let's see how the offense does against Denver then maybe I can get on board.

Ya. They're peaking. I just hope it's not 2 months too soon...

From my observations in years of NFL fandom, I think this is right about the time you want to be peaking to make a super bowl run

I don't disagree. I just hope they can maintain it through the run, know what I mean?

I do maintain that this team, just like the team that beat the Seahawks so many years ago would be the most dangerous 6th seed the league has seen since... well you know.

We need to peak now if we are going to be in the playoffs. As long as Ben is healthy, we can put up 30 or more points. At least, that has been the case in the past five games.

As I said, I don't disagree. I just hope they can maintain it.

Lets be honest, our defense isn't the defense that won two Super Bowls last decade. If we are going to do damage going into the playoffs, we need our offense to out score our opponent. Anything we get from the defense is a bonus. What they did last week was outstanding. We all know when we play a good QB our secondary gets ******* torched. Lets hope the defense can make some stands, get off the field and our offense clicks.

Hey, the Colts won a Superbowl when their defense decided for ONE season to play out of their minds.

We just need 1/4 of a season! Right? Right?

And hell, it wasn't even the entire Colts defense, it was only like 3 guys... Freeney, The Linebacker and the Safety...

Actually, the year that the Colts won the Super Bowl, their defense was horrible for the first dozen games, especially the run defense. They somehow managed to shore things up in the last quarter of the season - getting Bob Sanders healthy really helped.

Agreed. Must make the dance, but....

we were in 10, 30, and 40...... here's hoping...

AND, Seattle has regained its old, Super Bowl form, it now appears, by the time we played them, and we hung in there, so even that loss is no indictment on the quality of this team.

True, the D is nothing like the one that won in 2005 and 2008. But none of those offenses were anywhere near this prolific...like not anywhere close. But we do need some timely stops, but I think they can manage that...maybe.

Now if only teams "not wanting to play us" meant something tangible.

Agreed. The top seeds I think are on the decline.

New England is out of Lobster spray at RB, and I think is hurting at WR.

Cincinnati is in big trouble without Dalton.

Denver is 3-2 in their last 5 games, soon to be 3-3 in their last six. Their points for and points against is very close for a 10-3 team.

Bob Sanders! That's him.

Its Ben or bust .....no other way to slice this. If he plays like he did vs Colts and Cleveland, theres not a team that will beat us. He play very well even vs Seattle except for those untimely INTs.

Defensively our Achilles is covering a TE. Apparently we don't know what one is.......yet. If we somehow fix that issue we can think about #7. But we get to these playoffs and have no more major injuries (Burfict tried to impose one on Ben), we will make a run. I want every part of a rematch with New England in that run.

This team is as good at the Ravens last Superbowl team. Better on offense and about on par with their defense. Their defense was opportunistic, getting lots of turnovers down the stretch, and Flacco played perfect football in the playoffs. If they can do it, we sure as hell can do it!

Carolina, Arizona, and New England.
Zona??? Really???
