Rg3

Fran Tarkington seemed to do ok back in the day, I remember watching him run around while being chased by the defense for what seemed like a fantastic amount of time. He seemed to do well enough to get the vikes into a deep playoff run at least once.....wonder who they played.

Apparently he was getting hit on every pass play, even getting pressure on quick dumpoffs. Their O-line is a disaster, and all of their qbs are going to end up injured.

I watched some of that game - he was getting smacked in the mouth by full speed blitzes. It's a wonder he wasn't taken out earlier. Their O line was putrid.

Redskins source on RGIII, "he's fine." Timetable? Right now next Saturday's game against Baltimore but need to make sure he's ok #Redskins

Was there ever a player that peaked so early, so quickly and just degraded into awfulness like RGIII?

What a lesson in player evaluation.

They screwed up by leaving him out there injured at the end of his rookie year. He was actually good as a rookie. He needs to go elsewhere. I actually think Colt McCoy is the best qb they have.

He was more of a scrambler, looking to extend plays and looking down the field. Todays "running qb's" are 3 reads and tuck n run, which makes them easier targets once they do that. A guy still looking to throw gets more protection than a ball carrier.

You're being kind with 3 reads. I've seen some that have one key read and if he isn't open then they tuck and go or they dump it off to the RB.

If the ownership let the coach get Couzins up they franchise would be better off. But good ol Dan Snider will not have his RGiii be shelved.

Cousins has thrown 19 interceptions in less than a full season's worth of work. I can't see him being the answer to Washington's QB problem.

I seem to remember him breaking Ben's record for completion percentage for a rookie. He wasn't just a one trick pony and was using his legs to set up his throws. Now that his legs have been effected by injury, he's no longer the same athlete. Dude was fun to watch his first year.

Though this is funny:

I've said that for years. People are still enamored with them. They are always going to "revolutionize" the QB position. Newton, Manziel, etc... never works out that way.

One has made it to the Super Bowl the last two years.

Everybody knows he is limited throwing the ball but there are times when a team is so talented and well coached that they can win even with those limitations. Wilson is in a perfect spot and is really the only "running" QB to win a SB in 50 years. Even with that Seattle is a defensive team that runs the ball. But that limitation cost them the last SB.

Running QB's can work in college ball. Running QB's in the NFL get broke in half.

They seem to give everyone fits at first, then once defenses figure them out it's over. And it always seems like team's insist on making them better passing QB's which never work's out, or the players themselves insist on trying to be passing QB's which never works out.

He has always been the backup doing backup snaps with the practice squad. Last year sure he got in for what 6 starts before he was hurt. I just think you know what you got in RGiii. Maybe just maybe Couzins could be a decent level qb. Like a Matt Schaub level, not too tier. RGiii reminds me of Samuel l Jackson in unbreakable.

We may be able to trade them Landry in a week or two.

Yet both the next 2 Qbs in the same game with had 0 sacks 0 hurries 0 pressures
Imagine that!

Quoted for truth, Damn you Pete Carrol.

Changes in defensive personnel probably account for some of that. I did not see the game, but based upon what I read, the Redskins may have one of the worst offensive lines in the league, and he was getting killed.

RGIII never had a chance and he is pretty much done. He was put in a position to fail and he did.

I'd take RG3 as our #2 in a ******* heartbeat!

Isn't he the best QB in the league? Bwahahahhahahahahhaha!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There are QBs who can run when needed and escape situations and still throw a decent pass (Wilson, Ben), then there are QBs who think they can just give up on passing and outrun everyone on the field...which again, works in college but will get you killed in the NFL.

He is the best QB in the NFL at getting hurt... and probably the best with the last name Griffin... heck he would likely be in the hall of fame of people named Griffin....

He played for the redskins... what did you expect

He is an arrogant **** who thinks his college talents bought him cred in the NFL. like most option read qbs who come in the NFL have one good year and bust out. Teams game plan for them after getting some tape.

Besides that, rg3 is a glass doll. Dude barely gets touched and is hurt. Bad luck, maybe but dude sucks ***.
