Report: Heinz unlikely to renew stadium name deal

Tomlin, Colbert, Ben retire after 2021 and now the field name is going to be changing too.

That could be the next step. Naming the field after the Chief and allowing naming rights to the stadium. “Art Rooney Field at UMPC Stadium”. The original stadium rights was 40 million for 20 years, now clubs are getting up to 10 mil a year for naming rights. So I would expect some kind of compromise.

or they could go with UPMC's Art Rooney Field.

Each entrance could be a sponsor. Instead of Gate A, it could be PNC Bank Gate, UPMC Gate, Amazon Gate, etc. Just brainstorming. . .

I dont think you could call it Three Rivers Stadium. Maybe like UPMC stadium at Three Rivers. Whatever it is it will be a big change. Heinz Field has already become pretty iconic in my mind. Hard to think of it as something else.p

UPMC is one of the most logical companies that has the resoucres to foot that yearly naming rights bill, if you want local.

Also, heard PNC will not re-new with the Pirates, so they could move their name to HF.

UPMC is the only name that came up in my mind. I have to wonder if naming rights are even worth it to a company if someone like PNC doesn't want to renew. PNC Park is always out there as the best ballpark in MLB and even if the Pirates stink, you'd think you'd want your name associated with that.

Unfortunately it will end up in the name of the highest bidder. I would like it to have a piece of home to it, similar to what someone said "corporate name " Three Rivers Stadium" or "corp. name" Rooney Field.

"Confluence Stadium" rings a bell as well

Salute the nation

Just have to spice it up a little TROIS-RIVIERES home to the first Cdn iron working community

Kind of sucks......I quite like the name Heinz Field. I guess I am so used to it. But it also relates to Hines Ward and that glorious era of football for me.
