Report: Heinz unlikely to renew stadium name deal

I prefer the name to represent a company based in Pittsburgh. Loyal to Pittsburgh.

French’s catchup is better anyways. Whataburger field is in Corpus Christi. Hooks AA team for Astros. How’s everyone feel about “UPMC Shadyside”

Maybe the three rivers will sponsor it??

Three Rivers Stadium has my vote, put whatever ya want in front of it but it's still the best descriptive name that makes any sense.

Ya know, like out of the ashes...

gotta go, kids on my lawn again.

Yinzers don't adapt to change real well. Ask directions and you get, "Go dahn nair to the red light an' make left where Pizza Hut usta be, 'en make a right where the Plymouth dealer usta be, en you'll see where the Olds dealer usta be and you're right there an' nat."

Also---dont forget take the Blue Belt to the Yellow Belt then....

UPMC is one of the most logical companies that has the resoucres to foot that yearly naming rights bill, if you want local.

Also, heard PNC will not re-new with the Pirates, so they could move their name to HF.

Aren’t they owned now by a foreign company?

I was curious so I looked them up. They been thru some hard times for sure.

In 2007, the brewery was purchased and brought out of bankruptcy by Unified Growth Partners. They returned the brewery to its original name, "Iron City Brewing Company", and planned a rebound to full production.[7]

In May 2009, Iron City Brewing signed a deal with the City Brewing Company to begin use the former Rolling Rock Latrobe Brewing Company's plant,[8] with brewing started in June and bottling/kegging production resumed in July 2009.[9]

In 2018 Rosebud Mining purchased "Pittsburgh Brewing" the company brewing Iron City Beer. Acquiring the old facility in Lawrenceville, with plans to rebuild the blockhouse to former glory. [10] Construction began in 2019, bringing the copper trimmed building back to life.[11]

Rose Bud Mining looks to be a coal company NE of the 'Burgh above DuBois

I wonder if there is another Rose Bud Mining ?

I really like Art Rooney Field, but there is too much money not to sell the naming rights.

That could be the next step. Naming the field after the Chief and allowing naming rights to the stadium. “Art Rooney Field at UMPC Stadium”. The original stadium rights was 40 million for 20 years, now clubs are getting up to 10 mil a year for naming rights. So I would expect some kind of compromise.

This has me thinking of the beginning of the movie BASEketball with all the changing names/stadiums/teams/etc.
Not a great plot driven movie, if you haven't seen, but there is some great comedy gold sprinkled throughout.
From the creative minds of South Park and Team America.
