Report: Aaron Rodgers Is At Steelers Facility On Friday

There are many happy fans, here, when the team loses... it's sickening as a matter of fact because of there agenda to get Coach Tomlin gone.

None of us can change anything so, enjoy the games or switch teams. Seems like a pretty easy decision to me but I'm an optimist...
He is a woefully underperforming coach that has a terrible scheme and refuses to play to an opponents weakness ( well documented in that SB loss well over a decade ago).

The last PO win was 2016 and that credit for the W goes to Peezy, who's actions directly averted another PO loss.

What is the standard against which you measure the Steelers coach?

I have already downgraded my standard to "a playoff win". That in and of itself is substandard for a franchise that used to judge itself only by SB wins.

2003 steelers go 6-10 then in 2004 they draft Ben at pick 11

What if they had signed a big name free agent QB prior to the 2003 season and won 10 games? The next QB off the board after Ben was JP Losman at pick 22.

Rodgers will make the 25 season exciting. Maybe they win the division. Maybe they win a playoff game. Then they draft the next JP Losman in 26.

The steelers should think about trading Rodgers mid season. What if a team with SB dreams loses their QB early in the season? Maybe Goff or Purdy goes down. Maybe you can get a 2nd or even 1st rounder if they think they have a shot at the SB.
Yes. The Steelers should never have traded for Minkah as a response to Ben's injury......short term sugar solution for the season (boy, did Minkah ever look good when he was free to play his game), but that was 5 years ago, we still do not have a long term solution, and after last years DangeRuss sugary season coating, we now now have this year's quick fix in Ayahuasca A A Ron.

Now we are probably looking at another draft of KFP/JP Losman type, which sucks for the long term.

look how evolved DIC got with peyote, the guy is a guru now, imagine what A A Ron can become with ayahuasca

Go **** yourself. Anyone whose says switch teams to someone criticizing a coach with Tomlins past 10 year history is the worst kind of poster and an *** hole and deserves 0 respect from anyone

Those who have been here a while know what you’re really about and your agenda, and I’ve got the receipts, I’d show everyone who you really are with your past posts but I’m on vacation so you’re not with my time

Completely disagree. If the rumor is correct that he signed for 10 mill +incentives then we got a steal. The dude can still fire the football with velocity and is accurate as ****. Last year he completed roughly 33% of his passes over the middle...which is something we have lacked for the longest time. The analysis everyone in the sports media is giving is horse poop and probably based on people not liking him. The Jets signed Fields for 20 mill......20 MILL!...and Fields is terrible yet some wanted us to keep him. If the 10 mill number is true this was a steal.

I am not a Tomlin supporter, but I gave him credit for bringing in Russell Wilson... then they handcuffed him...they won't be able to do that with Rodgers, he will air it out when it's appropriate to do so. We had to do this before the D is fragmented in the coming years.

LETS GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!

Never liked the guy especially after the loss to him to him in the SB when he played the position as well as it can be played, but no doubt he still can throw it and he's also extremely smart and can perhaps compensate for much of Tomlin's offensive dullardness if Tomlin will at least defer some and remove some of these silly rules of engagement with the MOF and audibling. I have no doubt Rodgers can still be a a 25-5 guy very easily if Shades lets him.

If Rodgers is performing at a level a team thinks he can win them a Super Bowl after their quarterback goes down or a team would trade real value for him, then the Steelers should be eyeing a Super Bowl run themselves at that point, not looking to trade him.
Wouldn't matter. I guarentee the contract has language that he has full control over any trade movement.

ESPN sources: Steelers QB Aaron Rodgers was in the team’s training facility today to sign his one-year, $13.65 million contract that includes $10 million guaranteed and has a maximum value of $19.5 million. The deal includes $5.85 million worth of playtime and team performance incentives.

No worries. I know what I’ve said in the past and I know when I’m wrong.

I still stand by my invitation. If you don’t like it…leave or don’t respond…

The offense never had a sense of urgency in Tomlin Special games but here we are years later with Tomlin trying to win 16-15 and avoiding the MOF so he gets no pass with offense. When have his teams ever stomped on weaker teams with any regularity? That's where "we're not looking for style points" came from.

We dont stomp teams because of the style of tomlinball we play... we try to run out the clock with a one point lead

I understand. He rubs people the wrong way, but if we tolerated Ben we can tolerate this guy. And I don't think he's here for one year. He's in great shape and could play 2 or 3 years...if he wants to.

So it was 13 mill and he has to hit certain numbers for the incentives. Excellent.

I don't understand all the hate for the guy...we were going into the season with Mason. Nothing against Mason, but we know we aren't going anywhere that matters with him. This guy gives us a shot.

The last QB to put up 4K yards for the Jets was Joe Namath.....that's how abysmal the Jets have been for decades. Rodgers put up 3,897 with 28 TDs on a horrible(even by jets standards) team. They only won 5 games so some of that was garbage time yardage..take it with a grain of salt.

We have to bring in a serious #2. Make it so KHAN.....

Tomlin was supposedly a really promising two or three-year-old if we are using the horse racing analogy but as an older horse he's proven to be a 60-1 also ran with little ability to separate from the pack and who falters badly in the stretch while naturally avoiding the middle of the track.

There’s also a metaphor that represents the never ending criticism of Tomlin…like beating a dead horse.
Nothing’s gonna happen.

I think it is more they really believe that he is the best guy to run the team with today's athletes. He understands them, he can communicate with them, or so they believe. I don't think it is anything devious.

I also think they are wrong in that assessment. I'm not sure a guy like George Pickens listens to anybody. Therefore, you might as well hire a better x' and o's guy. The guy is gonna get a chance, the Steelers will give him time and they will get rid of a player before a head coach. So it is futile for players to really try and undermine the guy.
In my opinion, Pickens’ biggest problem was that he wasn’t put in a position to succeed. I think that’s why he acted out. I really can’t blame the guy. I know how much this offense frustrates fans, I can’t imagine how bad it frustrates talented players. You see 3rd and 4th string players contributing all over the league, yet the Steelers best players struggle to put up numbers more often than not compared to other players in similar positions. And the Steelers depth contributes at a much lower rate, at least the last 4-5 years. The talent is there I think. I just think the scheme sucks and is holding everyone back.

You quoted my post, and I’m not going to take any crap from you

Let’s go back to ignoring each other, that would be great

Among the other baseless crap you talk here, telling people to leave/find another team who disagree with you or criticize the team qualifies you and a couple others for worst people on here

Yawn... your opinion of me or my posts doesn't matter.

I can't even remember why I quoted you; enjoy your vacation lil' buddy...

I don't recall the Steelers stomping teams under Coach Cowher on the regular either... just saying.
108-1-1. 110 games with at least an 11 point lead, seems pretty regular.

I know what Bermuda is saying. There were not a lot of 38-10 games where you could just slug beer and relax by the end of the 3rd with Cowher, either. But boy, did Cowher know how to close games out. I wonder if you can still do that today?

Tough talk and over sensitivity don't mix well.

My problem isn't with the move for this season. It's where it will put them undoubtedly in same spot next April. After another tremendous Tomlinship campaign they will be 17-22 and will have to make a Devin Bush type trade at least. (A second and a third) to Crack the top ten where you might get a long term dude. And the price of rice usually increases when they know you need a QB.

trading up for an undersized ILB was always wrong. I don't mind giving up a load of draft picks for an elite rookie QB prospect

We just need to hope that 7-8 of these QB prospects actually ball out and live up to the hype so the Steelers could make a move into the 9-12 range if indeed they are in the 17-22 range. I'm really interested into seeing what Fernando Mendoza does at Indiana this year. He's got the physical build and skillset, but also isn't one of the big names like a Sellers or Allar, meaning he could fall a bit even if he lives up to his potential.
