Report: Aaron Rodgers Is At Steelers Facility On Friday

It's not always about the passing as I recall Ben was very limited throwing the ball downfield and was pretty much a statue in the pocket. His 65% was strongly tied to those dink and dunk passes that the offense was getting away with till Washington came to town and then it was a wrap. I'm curious what the YAC was during those two years because Ben threw for his lowest avg yds a pass those two years. I knew I didn't call him noodle arm for nothing.

I do agree he was still a better option then Neil O Donnell who was worse then I thought he was. I don't think I would have started washed up Ben over Kordell though even though his decision making wasn't the greatest.
At the time I remember people bitching about dink and dunk and Ben releasing the ball in 2.3 seconds, problem was the OL sucked and the DL was in his face in 2.2.

AA Rod’s contract incentives;

The incentives are as follows:

  • $500,000 if the Steelers make the playoffs.
  • $600,000 for a wild-card round win with 50% play-time in the game OR a first-round bye.
  • $750,000 for a divisional round win with 50% play-time in the game.
  • $1 million for AFC title game win with 50% play-time in the game.
  • $1.5 million for Super Bowl win with 50% play-time in the game.
  • $1.5 million for winning the AP MVP award.
The contract carries a cap hit of $14.15 million for the 2025 season.
Watching Roger's doing some drills and he looks his age movement wise. In one drill, he did a simple play action bootleg and when he went from 3/4 speed slowing down, he looked like me rolling out of bed grabbing my back jogging to the bathroom for the morning confessional. :ROFLMAO:

I saw some clips where he looked pretty fluid. Even with him working out pre signing, I would presume he would need to work himself back into game shape.

We won’t know how his mobility is until in game participation.

As long as that arm stays strong and that release remains quick I think he can still be effective.

The one upside in the Steelers QB shenanigans over the past few seasons is that they have not made the big $$$$ mistake; no stains dumbest contract ever, no huge Cousins deal, no Carr's have ever visited, etc.

Pickett was a shot and bust, but cheap; Fields was a 6th and about $5M, DangeRuss was $1M and Ayachuasca A A Ron is tops $15M.

Nothing has "worked" yet, but they have failed with small $$$. At least the spending side seems tightly controlled. And they got two SB winning QBs for fractions of expected costs, so kudos for that.

But I'd still rather pick top 5 next year.

No bonus for a Tomlinship? I'm shocked.

Yep. And we have no direction as an organization. Horrible schemes on both sides of the ball. We did probably over pay on a WR. Soon we will probably over pay on an aging OLBer.....but hey. At least we got a few qbs on the cheap. That's a win. Take the wins where you can I guess.

If Tomlin restricts Rodgers from throwing in the MOF and they're trying to win 18-17 games in October then Tomlin should never coach again and will never win another playoff game.

Wait! is Coryea talking about how great ben is AGAIN?
Why, you young fellers got no perspective, see.
Kordell was like a shadow that flew on an eagles wing, and the eagle was hitching a ride on an F16.

You all just can't appreshate greatness.

(I still say he wasn't as bad as people try to remember him. I'm not saying he was all star, or even great but he wasn't as bad as he was made out to be. He just made a really bad choice.)

Missed me, didn't ya backwoods "yinzer" ********.

Well, good to see you from one of the uncivilized, "you'z' ********.

Bank on it.

You get that "never a losing season" moniker.
Remember Pressley Harvin III never had a losing season. Must be the greatest punter ever.
