I can't say I'm crazy about Wentz being on the roster. I'd rather just go with Mason and Howard. Add someone if one of those guys goes down. But we know Clown-lin's disdain for Mason, who after dissing him in 2023 owed him his a$$ for saving his a$$.

Wentz is only if Rodgers doesn't sign. They always have 4 QB's on the roster for camp. Wentz has shown some talent and when he was a full time starter for the Beagles and the Colts, his stats weren't bad at all. But, they should have had him in for OTA's if they were going to but they are waiting for Tomlin's man crush and will wait right up until the first game.

I'm not understanding where the hype comes from for Rudy. He was 1-4 as a starter last year, has a career .500 record and couldn't beat out Will Levis for a starting job who had the lowest QBR in the league last year. I would say Rudy is what Rudy is at this point in his career. I don't anticipate a Sam Darnold break out year anytime in his future....although it would be nice if they're stuck with him. For all you say about Tomlin at least Rudy does have a winning record under him.

We saw Mason Rudolph get pushed to the back when picket was here. We saw what he did when given the chance and enabled a rd 1 playoff game. We see him with a good attitude and not bad skills.

I guess it depends on what the Steelers intentions are. If it's to tank you might as well let Rudolph do his thing. Youre right he was on a bad team but his individual stats were mid to subpar at best. He's certainly not one i would expect to elevate the players around him. I just never saw him as that guy.

Squeezing a "non-losing" season out is what Clown-lin does best, by far. It's his only goal.

I believe Rudy pulled out a 3-1 season and went 3-0 when it mattered most to sneak into the playoffs.

I get the frustration of what the Steelers have become. I am frustrated as well. But you claim history shows us that. What about 2014-2018? Hell, even 2007-2011 or so, though not as good as '14-'18.

I think he can build an offense. He hasn't had the players recently, which is his fault. But to fix the problem, you have to properly identify the problem. It's a player problem...which again, his fault. I am not giving him a pass here.
