Question: Are we SURE LeVeon is better than Conner?

Nope.

The networks used to show how if you took away all of Sanders negative yardage carries, he would average like 8 yards/carry or something ridiculous as if it was a testament to his greatness. It was actually a testament to his ineffectiveness.

Emit Smith and Jerome Bettie were more effective RBs just to name two.

Keep in mind Sanders played for a **** team. Think of what he could have done with a good team.

Bell better not see the field until late in the 4th quarter after Conner has already sealed a win. If he does, he needs booed mercilessly.

Conner should have his contract renegotiated in the offseason, I don't care how many years are left on the current deal. What's he making 500K a season?
Basically what Bell would have made in 3 quarters. That new deal should have money earned on it from this past season - at least 3 or 4 of Bell's missed game checks.

I don't want to see Bell on the field and getting any meaningful carries. He can sit the bench or cover kicks. His choice.

The special teams are bad enough they don't need to put bell out there, it wold be like playing 11 on 10 football.

Really simple Bell is a great back and Conner is proving himself to be a great back also..

It's more simple than that.......................

JAMES CONNER is here and well

MEveon isn't here

Steelers are looking extremely wise by not giving into Bell's contract demands. I hope Conner's performance makes other teams think twice before dumping a load of money on him and he loses more than he would have had if he had just signed the offer. He already needs a much bigger deal just to break even considering all he's lost so far.

No matter the size of is next deal he cannot make up the money he's lost this year, in economics it's called lost opportunity cost. You have choices to make and regardless of which choice you make there is a lost opportunity cost, you have to hope that your decision generates more revenue than the other decision. In this case, clearly, Bell chose poorly, but that doesn't mean he wont' get a great deal next year, but it does mean there is no way for him to recover 8 game checks (I think he gets paid during the bye week) and counting.

I don't know about all that but I do know that when JU JU and Conner jumped in the stands to get pictures with the fans after that TD, it was game over. The way I see it goin' , thems the new leaders we have been lookin' for. Character has been sourly lackin' here lately and I for one was pleased to see the me-me put aside.

Oh and LJ Fort.....and Chickalo for that matter......showed a bit of ability and spunk. Second team or no, they put some heart on the field.

Bell's gotta be realizing the real deal soon or he may be done just out of pure stupidity.

You mean an Offensive line matters to a running back's success ? Woulda thunk it ?

Yep. Amazing when there are less me-first personalities out on the field, the team plays more as a team and has more fun and seems really driven to win

I wish these media types would just stop asking about MeVeon. It’s obvious the team has moved on, as have the fans. Now it’s time for the media to move on. There is no value in MeVeon any longer.

If he's not here for the last 6 games then he's still the Steelers' property next year and gets tagged again, as per the CBA. I didn't think he was that stupid but maybe he is.
Only thing the Steelers messed up, in hindsight, was giving him an exclusive tag instead of a non-exclusive tag. If he never shows and we repeat this next year then hopefully they give him a non-exclusive tag.

There is a lot to be said when opponents don't really have you on tape nor have you marked as somebody to game plan against. Look at all the fast start guys that by the second or 3rd yr things slowed down and the opponents caught up. Connor has proven he is an above average rb. He has taken full advance of coming out of the shadows of Bell. If teams decide to put 9 in the box to stop him Brown and JuJu will have career or season high games.

Hope he stays healthy for a long playoff run

I was pretty worried about his durability, but he is holding up well, so far.

I hope they can get JaySam worked in more.

This is one of the dumbest things I've seen on this board for a long time, lol.

Sanders played on a **** team with a **** line and is one of the greatest RBs to ever play the game. Pro Bowler and 1,000+ yards all 10 of the years he played as well as an astounding 5.0 YPC. Emet Smiff ran behind the best OL ever, had great coaches and other players around him. Smith played 5 more seasons and only ended with 3,086 more yards and a paltry 4.2 YPC.

If you had to gain one yard would you rather have Bettis and Smith or Sanders. I would pick Smith or Bettis.

Steelers put a strong emphasis on drafting character guys in 2017. Watt, JuJu, Sutton, Conner, and Dobbs are all top notch. They got three pretty good ones this year too with Edmunds, Washington, and Rudolph.

Whoa, boy, you tryin' to dethrone Trog? Bettis is the fattest back to ever live and probably the greatest short-yardage back ever. Smith was a big, between the tackles guy as well. Sanders was ******' 5'8" and shifty. Apples to oranges. When looking at their situations and their production, Sanders ***** on the competition.

Like I said Sanders is one of my favorite all time players. My uncle was at OSU when he was there and gave me a signed Heisman Trophy poster. However, Sanders was a more all or nothing player. He could have 3 runs for -5 yards then take it to the house. Sure he played for a ****** team, but unfortunately that is who he played for. It is impossible to say how he would have done on another team. The saying goes slow and steady wins the race.

You have to believe that if he had run behind the 90's Dallas OL he'd have hit 2k more than once.

No doubt, Sanders didn't dance in the back field because it looked cool, he did it because he had to, imagine him hitting those holes that Oline opened up, running full speed in to the second level, the rushing record would've been untouchable

I think this will eventually trickle into the locker room for the better.

LeVeon is done in Pittsburgh.
Another team will throw money his way.

Didn't think I'd ever say this, but...

LeVeon Who?

First off,.....BELL needs to be in football shape or hence you guys forget he took 4 games to acheive that last year. This year I think he runs out of time to get into true football shape as he is reporting at the very last minute to yet satisfy his contractual tag for this year. WEEK 9 with 2- roster exemption weeks. He is going to 1/2 ***** the rest of what's left of the season, then be gone and good riddance. He is in NO way going to show up in football shape as hell he is making excuses allready. I want to save my body / can't have that many touches / runs my wheels off............ Does that sound like someone who wants to come in and help this team at all costs.........**** NO
