Pouncey Calls out Harrison

Now airing all the "dirty laundry" to the public just to keep Tomlin from being embarrassed.

We have become the Bengals.

From a PED user and "Free Hernandez". I thought Dupree would have been handled himself better. Looking forward to seeing all the drama play out.

You think Gilbert wouldn't sign in a moment if another team, even the cheaters offered him a contract and the opportunity to play after he was released? Or Pouncey?

Harrison got what he wanted, he's going to play.
Who Fa King cares.
All this "spilling of the guts" is starting to sound like a bunch of high school ******* jealous because one of them got schtuped by another's boy.
Fer crissakes if Harrison wants to put his body on the line for $60k? Good, only he knows what his **** is worth.

You think Gilbert would stay with the team if he was riding the bench permanently while the Steelers continued to sign guys off the street and promote from their practice squad to fill spots on the line?

Again, a poor comparison. Watt was a first-round draft pick and Moats and Chickillo were already on the roster. You don't see a lot of guys try to get out during the middle of the season. Steelers are pretty special this year having two guys who wanted out, albeit the one lost playing time because he was playing poorly and we all got a chance to see that.

I have zero issues with Harrison wanting to go to another team, but I am not a fan of him doing it during the middle of the year.

Would the Steelers have fined him if he'd stopped dressing for practice? I mean, he knew he was going to be inactive, so why did he need to dress? If the Steelers were content to simply pay him through his contract, why didn't they just politely let him know he could stay at home, get some craft work done.

If he was so ******* terrible, he could only have been a detriment even in practice. Obviously they could have just brought in a 4th string offensive linemen or something to play the spot in practice and help the offensive players improve. At least then they'd be playing against somebody with some talent and ability.

Remember Ben being “shocked” by Harrison’s release? That was before the memo was put out to discredit everything that James Harrison has done for this team over his career being tossed out, dumped in the ******* in a blatant face saving by the Steelers organization....absolutely disgusting

If forced to choose between their credibility I think I’d have to go with Ben over Maurkice “Free Hernandez” Pouncey.

At week 15 or 16 of the season in the middle of a run to the SB.....Ummmm. Yeah. I can all but say with 100% confidence he wouldn't have asked for his release. Probably would have waited to after the season. .....of course I didn't think Harrison would have pulled this stunt either. He obviously wasn't happy at all. Tomlin realised he was better gone than causing a distraction to the team.

Sounds like JH wasn't embracing the Steeler Way of mentoring the younger guys and wanted to start instead.

Harrison and the Steelers will be alright.
I'm sure come retirement etc. James will be B&G full force

The youngsters are growing solid I suppose. TJ has exceeded expectations

I don't even know if he sees the field next week. Maybe if the Pats have the game wrapped up.

Remember Harrison retired and was happy to do so and had to think over coming back to the Steelers, so all the talk of him wanting to continue on for his productive years instead of sitting on the bench makes little sense.

As soon as James retires, this will be all forgotten. I wonder what Brett Keisel has to say, that's one of his best buddies.

If this is all the case I still wouldnt have given him what he wanted. Id have said go home. Suspended with pay. Id have put McCullars on the street with his number on my speed dial. No way I give him to the Pats for free highly motivated to play my team.

Possibly. I think the Pats play him for some odd reason.
I look at it as reps for the playoffs.

I don't think he'll be as impactful as intended. But I'll wait and see

That's if the Steelers and Pats match up again. Which is highly likely.
The nfl will surely pump up the game with all this drama.

Here's the teams chance to gather themselves, drama aside and win.
I like the Steelers chances. Really I do. JuJu and Martavis are growing on me.

The defense is a bit suspect at times, but I'm confident in them.

Good luck to Harrison.
Cannot cry over spilled milk.

Sucks losing a guy who was a major part of the team. But that's business in pro sports sadly

Bingo!

My guess is Harrison was as disgusted with this coaching staff as Big Ben is with Haley. He was most likely vocal about it in the locker room. The **** show at the end of the Pats game was probably the straw that broke the camels back. Dupree, Pouncey and Gilbert probably just trying to stay in Tomlins good graces.

I don't really understand why people are so mad at him for wanting to go somewhere he can actually play. Do I wish it wasn't the *Pats? Of course. But why anyone would expect him to spend his last productive year or two happily sitting on the bench is beyond me.

It has become apparent that he was being an ******* and was resented by some of his teammates. He is now LeGarrett Blount II.

That coaching staff has led the Steelers to 21 wins in their past 25 games. Not too bad.

So, Tomlin would be the ONLY one embarrassed by this in your opinion? Not Colbert the GM or Rooney the owner. You actually believe that Tomlin and Tomlin alone made this decision Spike? And it's more telling to me that no matter what their motives, most of the players seem to believe James was a wee bit of a cancer/whining ***** during the year.
