I'm rooting (maybe more like praying) for James Conner too. Rooting for him to adequately pass protect and carry the load if he needs to.

Pouncey should be on the side of the players out there doing their job and working hard not for a selfish no caring greedy undecided punk. Time for someone in the Steelers organization to step up and have Bell step out.
 
Okay let's say he shows on Wednesday, do you play him on Sunday?
 
At this point he's a liability to start. He'll clearly be more interested in protecting himself as opposed to Roethlisberger or gaining extra yards. I suppose if you wanted to be a dick, you could play him the first few games where he'll get his usual season starting 3.2 yards per carry and then you could announce in a press conference that you're benching him due to his being ineffective. That may sting him a bit and if Conner and Samuels can do anything at all, it would ultimately weaken Bell's $17 million demands.

you have to consider the source. I do not think the pouncey brothers are great members of society.

Maybe a few snaps but you will probably get what we had last year. Slow an out of shape 3 or 4 games. Then I question just how much of an effort he is going to really put forth this year.

I would be happy if he sat out the entire season at this point.

Assuming he shows on Wednesday,I can't envision him doing any better than ANY of the RB's we have already after basically 2 days of practice under a new if similar system. Let him sign, sit him and then trade him.

I just hope this damn drama will end soon, I don´t care anymore which way. If he signs and plays well, good. If we manage to give him a reasonable longer term deal at some point and he plays well until 30 something, good. If he´s an *** and tries to milk us and then leave, let him try. We´ll survive with the RBs we have. This whole mess is getting far too much attention.

I liked the official Steelers statement - let´s focus on the players on our current roster...

He has to sleep off his Labor Day fun...

I'd think he'd fly in this evening/night to finish up the paperwork and start tomorrow. Not much to sign, his contract is set.
 
He needs to pass his physical. Last year he took his physical several days before he came in and signed the tag. I guess he could do that all on the same day but not sure.

This just shows me he doesn' want to play this year, wait to sign till it's to late to play, but still get that game check for the week. I wouldn't be surprised if he didn't sign till sometime friday.

The Steelers should get a discount for coming in all half ***. It's damn near theft and a disrespect to the money involved. Hell it would take a man making 100k a year 8 ******* years to make that kind of coin he's going to get for one game. A game that he didn't even prepare for nor put any work in at all.
