Bring in ALL the talent we need to win it ALL in the next few years....not half azzing it to stay middle of the pack. That's exactly what it is with this organization.
When Dan was running it they still had desire and hunger...seems to me everyone is a little too comfortable. Tomlin's post game PC in Chicago was as non chalant as I've ever seen him. Wasn't even irritated or bothered in the slightest by the loss.
" It's tight when it's good on good." WHAT? The Bears pulled guys out of the lines at the concession stands to play defense at one point. Like I said in several posts here: this organization is not to be taken seriously anymore. This is a crushing defeat and he sounds like it's no biggie.
The propaganda starts about 1:20
I agree he didn't seem to care about the loss, at least compared to many of his other PCs after close losses. It's also a guy who show signs he has zero pressure to win.
The front office is trying to build through the draft while taking an interesting approach with free agency. There's been a lot of signings, including some splash, but they also leave a hole or two open.
The Rams are a team that rebuilt very quickly following their Super Bowl and a 5-win season filled with injuries. Quality contributors from top to bottom in the draft and shrewd veteran acquisitions. They built through the trenches and got star power from their picks. I think the Steelers have good drafts, but they aren't getting these guys in position to shine.
Look at these drafts. There's a lot of good players on this list and a lot of untapped potential. The 2024 draft was insane pulling 3 good starters for the offensive line. I think the focus in 2026 will be on the outside with WR and CB, probably a DL as well. QB is still a huge issue.
2023
1. Broderick Jones - below average starter
2. Joey Porter Jr. - he gets penalized, but has played very well this year
3. Keeanu Benton - finally showing his upside as a pass rusher, not a great run defender but has a role
3. Darnell Washington - starting tight end
4. Nick Herbig - best pass rusher on the roster...yes, I said it
7. Cory Trice - injured too much
7. Spencer Anderson - key contributor as extra blocker
2024
1. Troy Fautanu - has elite traits and has played very well
2. Zach Frazier - top-10 center, very good
3. Roman Wilson - who knows what they are doing with him
3. Payton Wilson - highs and lows, but he's been settling into his spot in recent weeks, still big upside
4. Mason McCormick - good starter
6. Logan Lee
6. Ryan Watts
2025
1. Derrick Harmon - good run defender so far, the pass rush will take time
3. Kaleb Johnson - disappointing
4. Jack Sawyer - key backup
5. Yahya Black - rotational backup
6. Will Howard - we'll see
7. Carson Bruener - key special teams player
7. Donte Kent
