Hopefully they sign him !
What's his physical status? Is the injury he had something that you can come back from?
UMy thoughts as well. If healthy Lewis is our 2nd best corner. But he has had injury issues. Even at 80 percent of his former self he's worth a roster spot.
IIRC, Steelers didn't offer him a contract. IMO, that was because they had no intention of getting into a bidding game for him. At the time, I think Lewis had very, very few INTS and they were looking to players to create turnovers.
In addition, Cortez had performed as well as, and in some cases, better, than Lewis. No idea whathat happened to Corte after that. Lewis had a good season the next year.
Seems like if he was worth having, NO would want him back. If it ain't a lot of money, it'd be OK.
I just recall him making it known he wanted to go to NO.
He is visiting today in Pittsburgh

He stunk in NO - he needs to come back with a discount ticket.
I thought I read that he was good in NO. Really wasn't following him after he left but I thought I read that somewhere..
Nope - he did nothing
A shell of himself, the Saints' cornerback played in only six games, recorded a grand total of six tackles and nothing else.

CB Keenan Lewis is headed today to visit with his former team, the Pittsburgh Steelers, per source. Lewis has interest from up to six teams so far, per source, after being released by the Saints on Friday. The 30-year-old will have to show that he is close to returning from a hip injury that has plagued him for the last year -- and which ultimately became a sticking point in New Orleans. But when healthy, Lewis played as a bona fide No. 1 cornerback for the Saints from 2013-2014. NOLA.com first reported the Pittsburgh visit.
Going to come down to whether he is healthy or not

In 2012, his only season starting with the Steelers, Lewis had 23 passes defended, a very high amount.
Then we exited via free agency ( a mistake ), and tore it up on New Orleans having 4 Interceptions in 2013, and followed it up by two more than next season in 2014. 2015 was a bad year for Lewis, he played din but 6 games and only started one.
When healthy Lewis was a big corner with pass defending skills! But a hip injury can be tough to come back from. If he can't run and change directions the way a corner needs to, he's a sub package zone player at best.
