Hey, it's more of the circus we all know and love if that's the case. Maybe they have other candidates they've talked to. Maybe they're waiting for one of the playoff teams to get done to interview one of the assistants. Maybe Canada has mentioned wanting to do some things totally different from what they usually do and they need to find an OL coach who is capable of/able to/on board with the type of blocking that would be needed. I don't claim to know. Neither does Dulac. Which makes his tweet a big, fat nothing burger because he doesn't provide any context. Just crap to rile some of y'all up. Click bait.
 
Maybe they are after Doug Marrone, and marrone wants an OC positiion,,? Or Marrone is shopping his options,, thus delay.
 
Marrone is going to Bama. He would’ve been my first call. Someone who might help be a good OL coach could be none other than Jeff Hartings. He has a great resume but currently he’s a high school football coach. Was all pro guard and center. Lives a few hours away in Columbus.

Steelers didn't announce it (Canada as OC). Rapoport did. That should have been a clue right there. He probably got his "info" from Canada's agent and reported it as a done deal.

Don't know, wouldn't you think the offensive coordinator should have a say on who his O-line coach is rather than the other way around?

It looks to me like this is not yet news. Steelers.com list Canada as QB coach, and their is no news whatsoever about him. So its clearly not official....maybe not even considered?
SteelBuckeye seems to have this correct: some click bait that may/may not be founded in truth.

I dont' read Dulac, so I have no idea how good his stuff is. I did just read his tweet though in Justin's article. Perhaps this is a little misconstured still. Could it be that MT has offered Canada the job and they are working on some OL interviews together with the plan to announce them all the same time? Speculation on my part, of course. Would only make sense if they announce the TE, OL, and OC all together.

Beat me to it but this is where I'm leaning towards. I think the intent is there but the wording got Constugluated along the way.

it does seem backwards to hire an OL coach first and then have him approve of the OC. But in this case it might be a good move since rebuilding this OL is the biggest issue.

It’s also encouraging because hopefully it also means the Steelers are prioritizing it in FA and the draft rather than RB.

In addition to this, it may show commitment to the run game given that most OL coaches are the run game coordinators.

I LOL at the fact that the guy that does no wrong now has 3 playoff wins in 10 years, his teams continually trip over their dicks in December, and the stellar control he has over his players too. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA
 
Fraley should make it rain at a strip club tonight and he’ll be hired I’m immediately. Apparently a new team direction.
