Say what? If not statistics, what exactly should be used for determining the greatest players of all time? DUI's? Based upon the rumors I've heard, he clearly would not qualify using that criteria. Maybe he had a bunch of parking and/or speeding tickets. Considering that 'm not intimately familiar with his driving habits, he might need to rely on some other arbitrary, non-football related criteria.
I agree with you about playing until you are ready to quit. I'm surprised more of the greats have not played into their 70's & 80's.
for Football, I think it has to be a combination of statistics and other factors, like did you win...did you lead your team...were you the face of your franchise? Quick hit, name the three best Running Backs of all time... go!
