Pats Fans on Twitter

Said at the time it was happening that I'd have taken the 3 and not gone for it on 4th and 1. Course, I said it to my girlfriend and her daughter who I'm sure were not paying any attention to me or the game for that matter.

Eh, the decision to go for it 4th and 1 down by 8 points in a game in which you couldn't be sure you would get tino Denver territory 2 more times to kick two more FGs or score a TD. I would have been cheering for Tomlin to go for the 1st down on 4th and 1, there is no way of knowing you're getting the ball back and being able to move on the Denver defense.

Heard this argument and I'd still take the 3 every time. First, there was 6 minutes to go and they had 3 TOs. Here were the 4 Denver drives just before that Pats* possession: punt, punt, punt, FG. Denver had a total of 79 yards in that second half. Just 3 first downs, one of which was a busted Manning scramble. Denver was doing just as much nothing as the Pats* were at that point, if not more so. And, you knew, at least I did, that they were going to sit on that 8 pt lead once they got it and not do anything crazy to hand it over. And that's exactly what they did. Plus, the idea of "well, we're not going to get back down here" to me is such a loser mentality. Especially when 4 minutes later not only were they back there, but they scored.

The Cheatriots bandwagoners need to go off on Hoodie for not kicking the field goal and going for it on that 4th down late in the 4th quarter.

Anyone else think that was the wrong call?

While it's certainly easier to look back and say this, at the time, I would have taken the field goal especially considering that they had all their timeouts still in their back pocket and the two minute warning. I don't remember how much time was left at the time, I believe it was 6 minutes and some change. However, I think kubiak made a HUGE mistake throwing that ball on 3rd down just before the two minute warning. That idiot is lucky that play didn't come back to bite him in the ***.

Ugh. You have to try to WIN THE GAME, instead of voluntarily punting the ball back to Brady with plenty of time to tie the game.

I thought the decision to pass was the correct one, but the target was wrong. All they needed was the 1st down to move the chains and keep the clock running, but Peyton threw a long pass when his long passes had a tendency to float a bit. I thought the target was a low percentage, high risk that was unnecessary. Get the first down, not half the field.

The thing that got me the most, and I've read other teams material before, is the fans wishing the kicker and his wife get raped until they bleed out. Then the one about the kickers kids getting cancer. That is some morbid stuff right there. At least when we want an opposing team to **** off and die, we all wish by natural causes !!!!!!! Thes Mass/holes are definately a tear dropping bunch.

Salute the nation

Thats focking brutal to say. I hate Scobee but I wish the man best of luck in life endeavors. Same for rivals past/present. Except for that Vontaze guy. I only wish he gets canned from the NFL so he can realize just how much he messed up

We have plenty of idiot Steeler fans too. Read a story about people blaming Issac Redamn for Tousantts fumble on twitter. I couldn't find the link for it now though.

I got a laugh out of that. There was a cheeky news story that said the fan got it all wrong, and that Frenchy Fuqua was the likely culprit.

Throwing on 3rd before the 2 minute was the right call. The Pats had 1 TO left. That play left 4 seconds on the clock. Even if the Broncos ran the ball, i'd bet the Pats would have let it run down to the 2 minute warning instead of using their last TO to save 4 seconds.

Redman tweeted back though and got a good chuckle out of it.

but did they say they hoped Tousant's family would all be killed while he watched?

Tomlin could go for it, Ben could convert, they go on to score the TD on that drive and ultimately win the game and certain posters here would still call him out on it....

True, but he's just as likely to OK a reverse or a deep draw on the play....

you people are idiots and don't understand football.

Belichick couldn't send Gostkowski back out there to kick a FG since Belichick lost all confidence in Gostkowski after he missed that XP.

I'm flat amazed Brady wasn't out there kicking after that. I mean, from all I've heard, the guy created football.

I don't really have a problem kicking the FG either, but in the same position I would have gone for 1st down with the Brady on my team, the same way I would go for a 1st down since the Steelers have Ben. It's a decision that doesn't have a right or wrong answer until you see the outcome.

I know I shouldn't be, but I'm amused by this.

how dare you question the genius that is belicheat....

Skip Bayless brought up a good point in that the Hoody cost them the AFC title for blowing the last two games of the season, making them lose home field advantage. Had they won either of those games, they would have been at home and, most likely, won this game. He has a point. Hoody coached to lose in both the Jets game (chose to defer to get ball in OT) and in Miami (coached like it was a preseason game, passing a total of 4 times in the first half, and pulling Brady in 4th q.)

I think the Broncos would have kicked their ***** in Foxboro. The Cheatriots are just lucky Peyton Manning is but a glimmer of his old self or they would have beat them by at least a couple more touchdowns. Home field has nothing to do with a defense utterly beating the hell out of your QB to the point he is a frazzled little ***** helplessly flailing the ball all over the field thinking Von Miller is about to deck his *** from the blind side...

That was quite enjoyable to watch I must admit.

I haven't seen Brady get his *** kicked all over the field like that since that first SB against the Gmen. What a joy it was to see it unfold :applause:

Hoody gave them EVERYTHING He gave them the SUN. He gave them the STARS. He gave them the ******* OXYGEN they breath. (Ok, admittedly it was a little thin, but it was Hoody's ******* AIR

Don't for one minute question the Hood! That **** won't end well.

Gronkowski is a bonafine porential G,O.A.T tight end.. Outside of him the pats offense needs their cheat system to win. I think yhat wss evident on Sunday
