our remaining free agents

In another thread somebody commented about Boykin with the following:

No ****... the imbecilic coaching staff hamstrung the secondary for 2/3 to 3/4 of the year keeping Boykin on the bench while the Steelers were torched over and over and over again. I bet he WAS pissed. I certainly was.

can't disagree with that

Beachum apparently visiting the Jets

Antwon Blake - DB - Free Agent
http://www.rotoworld.com/player/nfl/7816/antwon-blake

Free agent CB Antwon Blake will visit the Patriots and Titans.
Blake was awful last year, finishing with PFF's second-lowest cornerback grade behind the equally disastrous Brandon Browner. The 25-year-old is best viewed as a backup despite starting 18 games for Pittsburgh in 2015.

Beachum also visiting Seattle on Monday

Anyone started tallying what - if any - compensation is on the table if some of these guys sign elsewhere? As far as comp picks next year. Technically we'd be losing two starters in Beach and Blake, correct?

Green is going to offset Beachum most likely unless Boykin gets a lot of money. May be looking at a 6&7 or two 7s but it also depends on if we sign anyone else. 6&7 for Blake/boykin

I'm still convinced that must have come in with a very ****** attitude and pissed the coaching staff off something fierce. It's the only explanation that makes any sense.

Terence Garvin - LB - Free Agent
http://www.rotoworld.com/player/nfl/9052/terence-garvin

The Redskins are hosting free agent LB Terence Garvin.
Garvin was not tendered as a restricted free agent by the Steelers. Redskins GM Scot McCloughan has focused on building Washington's roster from the bottom up, an analytics-approved method that paid dividends in McCloughan's first year. Garvin has 20 special teams tackles over the past two seasons.

Sean Spence - LB - Free Agent
http://www.rotoworld.com/player/nfl/7554/sean-spence

Free agent ILB Sean Spence is visiting the Dolphins on Friday night.
The Dolphins are his only known visit. Spence saw 273 snaps last season while backing up Ryan Shazier at left inside linebacker. He'd give the Dolphins some depth behind starters Kiko Alonso, Koa Misi and Jelani Jenkins.

****, what the **** did Boykin show anybody that proved he was a better choice? It isn't like he did much. I just do not get the Boykin love. Had the guy come in and had 6 picks or something, yea. But he was just another in a long line of guys who chased receivers around.

PRYOR is a wr now for the browns........
Idk if we signed Boswell but I know we signed Warren. I hope they have, he's the future of our kicking game for many years to come. As far as free agent qb's go. Does anyone know if Pryor is signed anywhere? The kid has legs and a strong deep ball, he would be much like Leftwich but mobile of course. I wouldn't mind him coming here for a 2 year deal and before anyone says it, RG3 is a bum and I wouldn't want him on our practice squad.

Would it make sense that after seeing him in practice the Steelers decided he was not good enough to give up a 4th round pick for and limited his snaps to drop that to a 5th? Given his hype by some here I'm amazed he wasn't the first FA cb off the Board.

It's possible. However, based on his play in the games he was better than some of the other CB's they were putting on the field. That's why I always assumed it was a personality/attitude related issue that caused him to ride the pine for so long.

So long Todman, we hardly knew you. I thought he ran pretty hard the few chances he had.

Jordan Todman - RB - Colts
http://www.rotoworld.com/player/nfl/6446/jordan-todman

Colts signed RB Jordan Todman, formerly of the Steelers.
Indianapolis will be Todman's sixth NFL stop since entering the league in 2011. Injuries to Le'Veon Bell and DeAngelo Williams forced Todman into a timeshare with Fitzgerald Toussaint late last season. He'll fight with Robert Turbin for scraps behind veteran starter Frank Gore in 2016.

Wasn't it Boykin who gave up the big catch to a WR whose name I cant remember on the last TD drive in the game against the Broncos?

Yes, on a 3rd and 13, I believe. However, that wasn't even the biggest mistake on that drive. The will gay sure-fire interception that he dropped is the one that I remember most.

Sanders did a great job getting his hand in there and knocking it out. Could of been a very big play.

There are mixed reviews but I watched him every game he played, he's worth the pick and working under ben he will be a great stop gap and possibly our future starting qb of the future. Jones and vick are bums.

I watched Hack at PSU and I really didn't think he had a good head for the game. At times he seemed to develop a bad attitude that isn't good if you want to be a leader and I don't think he got along well at all with the coaching staff, at least the head coach. That said, he seemed to shine under O'Brian his first year and the last two years had a really bad O-Line. He certainly has the physical tools but the head is key. I don't think we'll pull the trigger for him and I think he will be gone before we pick in round 3. If he goes to Cleveland, he's probably ruined for life.

Brandon Boykin - DB - Free Agent
http://www.rotoworld.com/player/nfl/7492/brandon-boykin

Free agent CB Brandon Boykin will visit the Panthers on Monday.
It's Boykin's first visit, though he's drawn interest from the Falcons. With Bene Benwikere moving outside last year, Boykin would play the slot in Carolina.
