I just look over the list, aside from Beacham and possibly Blake, there isn't anyone left on the list that if we want, we can't get dirt cheap. I wonder how Gradkowski healed up and if he will be ready.

I would guess signing Green leaves Beach as the odd guy out.
T is a very thin position for us as Beachum and Adams are FAs. After Gilbert and Villanueva, what do we have? At least we could afford to keep Villanueva as a backup if Beachum is resigned. We need to get DeCastro extended to open up some more $$.

Adams is not a FA, he is on the team and will be swing Tackle if healthy. I would like to keep McClendon, who can play NT and DE, but getting Green, and maybe Weddle would be worth possibly losing him. I have a gut feeling we are not messing around and want to get the secondary fixed and go for a ring.
Last I read on Adams is his back was a lot worse than they thought and he may not even be available come next year as a back up.
Thats why I said possibly. Anyway as someone else said, I also get the feeling that we ar'nt playing games with the Defense this year. Tolbert feels just as we do, rebuild and let's go get the ring or rings. No more bullshitin around. However we do need to address the backup quarterback position. Jones is a bum and vick is a joke. It also seems Gradkowski is always hurt, is it time to clean that house too and retool???? I was thinking today that we could draft Havkenberg to learn from Ben and sign a F.A qb to be named later or keep Gradkowski one more year. But jones and vick must go.

No comments on hackenberg? Those who know me know that I'm a huge psu fan and graduate. I think a few years under ben he will shine. He loves to throw on the run and he throws a nice out pass. I really think he would be an absolute immediate upgrade over jones.
what round is he projected to go? 4th, 5th? I would let him duke it out with Jones for the 3rd spot, but bring in an experienced, "decent" QB is back-up Ben, in the meantime.

I've seen draft experts have him rated (not predicted draft position) anywhere from the second to the seventh. A lot of mixed reviews on the guy.
There are mixed reviews but I watched him every game he played, he's worth the pick and working under ben he will be a great stop gap and possibly our future starting qb of the future. Jones and vick are bums.
Idk if we signed Boswell but I know we signed Warren. I hope they have, he's the future of our kicking game for many years to come. As far as free agent qb's go. Does anyone know if Pryor is signed anywhere? The kid has legs and a strong deep ball, he would be much like Leftwich but mobile of course. I wouldn't mind him coming here for a 2 year deal and before anyone says it, RG3 is a bum and I wouldn't want him on our practice squad.
Suisham is all but done. Boz is more accurate and younger.
