Ol Mendy story told a story that Ben left a rookie with a $25,000 tab, part of a rookie hazing thing that took place yearly.

Ol Mendy was never short on words, he just fumbled yet another gem that well wasn't entirely true.

Tony Hills, a rookie at the time, would pay. (Hills, who currently plays for the Cowboys, was a fourth-round pick of the Steelers in 2008.)

The quarterbacks showed up as well, the linemen ran up a huge bill, and Hills wasn’t able to pay it.

Roethlisberger actually paid roughly half of the amount on the spot, with Hills reimbursing him later.

I wonder if the Hills have eyes, and will respond to the reports as well. (Hey I don't get too many opportunities to throw in movie references)

hi

I wonder if spinthenfall had any of the clam chowder................. was he there eating it up, official witness? Like how Ben bailed rookie out.

Salute the nation

**** Mendenhall. One guy who will not be invited back for Old Timers Day.

Those must be some really BIG nights. Say you have 10 veterans on an Oline which would be stretching it. They each have a $500 meal which is again stretching it. The most expensive meal I've consumed was at Gordon Ramsay's in Vegas and you'd be hard pressed to come up with a $500 meal. So on food you are at $5000. You gotta come up with another 20 K in drinks. Wow. That must be some expensive hooch. I'd have no problem doing that to a rookie 1 st rounder with a huge signing bonus, but a 4th rounder. Ouch

Cristal bay-bee.....

And the Hennessy must be flowing. Kinda funny to think about O-line guys like that. You think oline and you think of pickup trucks, beer, burgers etc. Must be kind of a joke to go out and eat that fancy **** and drink champagne and cognac.

Cristal bay-bee.....

Well, there's that giant bottle of Moet that all the hip-hop artists like to get at parties, clubs, etc. Pretty sure those bottles cost $20,000 apiece, so there ya go :DollarBill::DollarBill:

Mendenhall asked for a separate bill for his kale salad, asparagus tips, and mineral water.

Mendenhall, wasn't happy when we drafted him at first, but it was the logical pick at the time. Never had that breakthrough moment for us. Biggest memory I have of him is the fumble in the SB, we could have had seven by now. I even had his jersey.....**** him...."Fumbleina"!!!!!!!

Mendy now writes for Ballers. Looks like his life after football has promise.

**** Mendenhall. Oh wait, I said that already.

it wasn't just Mendenhall who lost that game for us against the Packers. As much as I like Ben and love him as our QB, the two interceptions in the first half were daggers to the heart of the Steelers, especially the pick six. You take those two int's out of the equation, even with Mendennuts fumble, we win that game. Sorry Ben but that first half was not your finest football. Now the second half Ben played very well.

Mendenhall once did not show up for a game. He also said the Steelers refused to list his favorite book when asked the question.

I agree. Screw this guy.

wasn't one of those INTs due to a O-lineman getting pushed back into him?

anyways regardless spin then fall is a tool

Mendenhall is right on that line between not dumb enough to know your place and take advice and not smart enough to actually get buy on your own brain.

He thinks he's smarter than he is and his brain storming philosophy in his head is a bit underdeveloped and lacks perspective.

Running backs are equivalent to the laborers of the construction world. Show up, do what you're told, stay safe and repeat the next day. They aren't paid to think like the foreman. Mendenhall thought he was a foreman.

Yep, Kemo got pushed into Ben just as he let it go and it turned into an easily intercepted flutter ball instead of what could have been a big gain to Wallace.

Also if our fullback just blocks one of the two guys that hit Mendy he most likely doesn't fumble. Football is kind of like a team sport.

I'm sure that if it wasn't then, at some point in that game ol' twinkletoes wouldve ****** up anyway.

Piss off, rashard, go read a book or something

Nah not buying this one sorry. A RBs job is to run / block / and not fumble, especially in critical moments.

He failed his part of the "team" equation.

I am not putting that interception on any one but Ben and who ever called that slow to develop play from their own end zone. Dumb call poor execution. Spindenfall fumbled, yeah he got hit but he fumbled.

You just might right...Fact is Johnson(I think that was him) let two defenders run by him without even touching one of them. They both hit our RB at the same time...resulting in a fumble. Would he of still fumbled it if only one defender got a clean hit on him? Maybe.....but maybe not. We will never know. In the end it is a total team sport. One break down can either win or lose a game. We had multiple break downs that game and still had a shot to win the game in the end. To be honest I still am not over that game. I really don't like thinking about it. In my opinion we were the better team. It took a near perfect game from Roger for the Packers to win(along with our mistakes of course).
