ol Mendenhall telling a story on Big Ben... it just isn't entirely true

I am not putting that interception on any one but Ben and who ever called that slow to develop play from their own end zone. Dumb call poor execution. Spindenfall fumbled, yeah he got hit but he fumbled.

::p:

Actually it wasn't that slow of a developing play.....our lineman just got got thrown like a rag doll.

Mendenhall got creamed on that fumble. I hate that he dropped it but he was hit within a step of receiving the ball. He had one guy go high and one low. It does totally suck because I honestly believe that if he DOESN'T fumble Pittsburgh wins that game. They were about to overcome a huge deficit and I think if the Steelers DO overcome they break the Packers. But it just wasn't meant to be.

Yep, Kemo got pushed into Ben just as he let it go and it turned into an easily intercepted flutter ball instead of what could have been a big gain to Wallace.

I don't think Ben deserves all the blame on that pick6. Could be a touchdown if Kemo had kept him clean. I also blame the coaching staff for the play call. All season that year it seemed like nothing good happened when we tried to pass the ball inside of our own 20. I remember thinking "not a good idea" as he dropped back on the play.

Slow QB, slow play, bad decision. All season long. Mendy wasn't the only **** up in that game.

Mendy now writes for Ballers. Looks like his life after football has promise.

Should change the name to Fum Ballers. Mendy turned out to be nothing but a douche bag.

Howard Green smashed Ben and it was a flutter pass. Wallace didn't exactly make and adjustments to help his QB out either.

My favorite quote from Pittsburgh Dad....."Unless you're Rashard Mendenhall, he could fumble a loaf of wet bread".

The fact Tony Hills is still in the league is the biggest story here.
And yet, no one has caught on to this gem...shameful...
it wasn't just Mendenhall who lost that game for us against the Packers. As much as I like Ben and love him as our QB, the two interceptions in the first half were daggers to the heart of the Steelers, especially the pick six. You take those two int's out of the equation, even with Mendennuts fumble, we win that game. Sorry Ben but that first half was not your finest football. Now the second half Ben played very well.
Agreed - personally, I still blame "The Bruce" for calling that dopey play w/ our piss-poor OL. Kemo makes Foster look like an All-Pro LG.

Like I just said - horrible play call - Bruce was being greedy trying to get back into the game too fast. As for Mendy's fumble - it was bad too, but, as others have stated, he had NO CHANCE of securing the ball on the hit - GB knew he was going to the right (Bruce ran the same damn running play THREE TIMES in a row!!!).

He's gone now and I don't miss him - he can say whatever he wants in this country - oh well...

I have never hated a positional group of players for the Steelers more than I hated that offensive line for a few years from 2007-2010.

All they did was make excuses for themselves. And every single one that left has been god awful everywhere else they went.
