Jones could turn pro after 3 games. Sounds crazy but it might happen. He's a redshirt sophomore so he can declare. If he leaves, he will certainly be drafted on talent alone. Probably a 4th rounder. If he stays he may ride the bench next year when Barrett is back. Jones is already 22. I don;t see him going back to school to sit. He's better off just going pro.
Besides, it's not like his draft evaluation would change much if he starts all next year. His eval will still probably be that he's a physical beast who needs to learn a pro passing game. Just like Logan Thomas from Va Tech who the Cards drafted this year.
Matt Cassell was drafted and i don't think he started a single game at USC. AJ Feeley was drafted and he barely played as Joey Harrington's backup. This is not a strong QB class. Jones should enter the draft.
