Any scout that is worth something can see "maxed out" when it's in front of them.
Jarvis Jones was maxed out. He was 23. His frame couldn't get any bigger. He was still getting most of this sacks in college by "effort" more than "physicallity". What the hell did we expect? I liked Jones but not as a first rounder. And in fact his best position in the pros was probably SAM in a traditional 4-3 set that likes to blitz. Think a poor man's Von Miller back when Denver played a 4-3 and before they got Ware on the opposite side. That's Jones' best position in the NFL. Not weakside OLB in a 3-4 where pressure is king. Not with his short arms and lack of explosion.
Can Jones get 10 sacks? Sure.... I guess. But he's not an impact player and we all know it. And this defense is CRAVING an impact player somewhere and no one cares where.
