I wouldn't live there if you paid me.

Those are lyrics from an old Talking Heads tune.

There was a time when the political spectrum was like a pendulum, always swinging back once a particular ideology reached it's limit.

I don't believe that's the case anymore, and what's more troubling, there are those out there that support and encourage this.

That’s exactly why we need to get this Iranian situation resolved quickly so that Trump and the administration can focus on getting our country right..

Iran will eventually pretend to come to agreements, and then they will claim the ayatollah ( who they will claim negotiated the deal) has died. The deal null and void. Start over.

They are stalling.

Mamdani was only elected six months ago and had been mayor 4.5 months at time of this post. Businesses generally don't make and execute interstate relocation decisions that quickly - given logistics involved in a relocation it is almost impossible to do so. Nor does a business make knee-jerk reactions based on one election result. Most of those relocations would have already been in the pipeline prior to Mamdani's election and probably reflect longer term business conditions. Very few are likely to be directly linked to Mamdani's actions as mayor.

The billionaires and highly wealthy are absolutely leaving NYC. They're coming down here to Florida.

We're rolling out the red carpet for them. They elected a moron before the Muslim communist. So this is not some new trend.

California is doing the same thing. Running the wealth off in droves. A lot of companies have moved to Texas or Florida.

Mamdani, per se, isn't the reason for the current flight of businesses out of NYC, but a continuing trend of moving out of blue states to a more business friendly environment.

NY, CA, WA, etc. are all having corporation's leave, taking their tax base with them. All the Dims will do is double down until there's nothing left to save.

Then they'll ask the federal government for a bailout.

Terrible argument. Socialism is fine when the sharing is optional. Its just not a great way for a government to run itself.. the message in the Bible is completely apolitical and the overall arc shows how pointless human politics is...

The socialist are correct that Jesus taught a gospel of sharing and sacrifice, but he never tried to mandate it on everyone nor did he tried to utilize human political methods to spread it.

Morally, everyone should try to help the less fortunate in every way possible with their own stuff, but that should never be forced onto anyone... if people opt to be rich, selfish ********... thats on them...

Socialism is a grand ideal that, for the most part, just doesnt work in real life... there actually are some things, like utilities, that should be socialized on a limited basis because free market concepts dont play out well there ... but most areas of life cant be run in that manner because of limited resources and broadly differing life wants and needs... well that and corruption...

The majority of socialists are secular as well, so religious concepts fall flat with them too...

Socialism works when you have a pure moral government led by people of high integrity.

Naaah none of that **** is ever going to happen. Government seems to attract low life forms who love power and are corrupted to the core. It's always theft through ridiculous taxation, which leads to the producers getting the shaft by the **** offs who add nothing.

The warmth of the collective vs individual and free will. What a horseshit lie that is.

I fully agree on taking care of those who can not take care of themselves, but unfortunately governments move that goalpost until they control all means and take way more than they should.

The United States is so morally bankrupt politically and socially, that it will absolutely lead to a totalitarian state. We're already halfway to that objective.

Agreed’

And then people of the United States share more with others than any other nation in the world… by far!

We are socialist by nature, but not by politics
