Now THAT was good coaching. Tomlin and Co. earned their money tonight

Yep, I too have to tip my cap to Shades. They got it turned around in the second half when I thought they were going to get buried. Terrific win.

It was the same dumb *** huge cushions on long yardage we've deployed for fifteen years in the first half. In the second they took Blake's sorry *** off the field and played press. Anyone who didn't notce that big an adjustment either got pissy drunk watching the first half debacle, or they need some effing glasses. Two completely different plans and the players executed it.

when Thomas got that TD, the play before I'd texted Ark that Blake was lined up on the goal-line when it was 1st and goal from the 8. Next play, same thing. TD

Did you watch the game? Seriously. We had no one near the WR's in the first half. There guys were wide open in our zone coverage's. Second half we manned up. We were all over the WR's. I could care less also but to think there wasn't an adjustment is silly to me.

And this is what pisses me, and I'm sure the rest of us, off. Why in the absolute **** can they not do this on a more consistent basis? While this game was awesome, it's also frustrating to a point. I said it in my house the whole second quarter and halftime; all we need is one stop and we change this game.

I couldn't believe this. I laughed saying that Blake was lined up on the "S" in the steelers end zone while only having to defend 5 yards.

Well, Tomlin said in post-game they didn't change much, the players played better.

Look, I could care less which it was,y hey won. It is just my opinion that the adjustments thing is a bit overrated.

I agree, Boykin and Golden played better than the people that were on the field in the first half...

I told my hating as friend at halftime that we would come back and win. He told me that I was crazy. Who is crazy now *****!!!!!!

Be humble when you win and gracious when you lose!

This isn't unusual for the Broncos. They haven't scored in the 2nd half for 3 straight games. Their new QB has issues as the game goes along. Not sure what the issue is but it isn't just the Steelers that have shut him down. Every team except the pats**** have held them scoreless in the 2nd half. That's why you could see the defeated look in their eyes. They had been there before. They lost to the raiders last week the exact same way.

The Steelers looked like a defeated team in the first half. The way the defenders were walking off the field, yeah, I've seen that before. Very impressed with how they came out in the second half. That gif of Tomlin is one of the best that you will see. Love it!

Second half struggles have been a theme for the Broncos offense, but I do not think they had a first half remotely close to the one they had today. We should at least give the Steelers' coaches credit for not trying the same sh1t all game.

They switched out Blake and started playing press and pressure. They came in believing the Broncos would run. Got killed on the soft zone. Ben's late pick was all him, though I didn't like the formation. They knew they would pass, there was too much time left and timeouts. They only had Brown on the route. Though they finished off the game with that pass, and you have to give them props for that, it certainly wasn't the percentage play. if that ball was incomplete you gotta big problem on your hand, that is a 35-40 second swing over running the ball in that circumstance.

That might be, but you don't see our Defense shutting done teams like they did in the 2nd half today.

Not sure I follow. We should give the coaches credit for allowing the Broncos to have a great 1st half (which they don't normally have) and shutting them down in the 2nd half (something that every team does to them)?

No, but you see the Broncos being shut out by every defense in the 2nd half. They haven't scored in 3 games in the 2nd half. So, it's pretty obvious that something happens to their QB as the game moves along. I have no idea what it is but something is wrong. The Chargers and Oakland shut them out. Neither of those teams are good.

The way we played the first half, I'm surprised the D could do anything in the second half, let alone shut them down. Those other teams weren't letting the Broncos roll up 27 points in the first half either...

.

There was no excuse for the first half, but the degree of adjustment was more impressive than what the Chargers or Raiders showed, as the Broncos were nowhere near as unstoppable in the first half of those games.

The initial game plan deserves a lot of criticism, and as a result, they had to adjust their scheme to a greater extent than the Broncos previous opponents did.

However, they made the adjustments, which is the premise of the thread.

There are flaws in Osweiller's game that make him vulnerable as teams get a feel for what the Broncos are doing to them, but one cannot assume the adjustments the Steelers had to make are the same ones the Chargers or Raiders had to make. Different schemes, different match ups and different game plan from the Broncos,

While you all are taking turns sucking Tomlins dick are you aware he said they didn't make any changes in the second half?

Dude either you didn't watch the game, or you can't ******* see. It's no secret you hate Tomlin, but don't make yourself look like a dumb *** all the ******* time. Damn. It is remarkable that you take him at his word this one time though. Lol.

I don't think he'd know if they did make changes. He's a dumb *** kinda like you.

i don't see this as the game to tout the coaching. This staff had a week to come up with a gameplan and that gameplan was torched by Brock Osweiler. Then there was the decision to throw the ball just before the 2 minute warning that nearly ended in a game losing interception. You don't have to run every play but you had to run THAT play to get to the 2 minute warning.

The difference was the players stepping up and making plays to overcome the hole that the coaches put them in.

When have coaches ever told the absolute truth in interviews

Here we go again. You have to be homosexual to give Tomlin credit. Get over yourself. It's your problem that you hate the guy, not ours.
