NFL 2023 draft simulator

So i just had a pretty aggravating mock draft… i traded down as is my typical move and picked up some extra high mid round picks and what id expect to be a low first next year… after drafting several players I liked in the first and second round, i had one second rounder left , but wanted a C and a NT that would be gone before i picked again, so I drafted the C then traded the spare first and a seventh for a fifth and a second that was two picks after I took the C… and tge ******* Bengals drafted Siaki Ika one pick before me like they always do in real life

If they don't pick two Oline in the first three picks will be pretty tough to watch next year again.
They could always bring in a free agent LT. I have to double check to see who is available for a possible upgrade...

Rarely are starting LT available in FA, we would have a better shot at CB probably

I just don't think the defense requires premium talent at the CB position. If they retain Edmunds (challenging) or Kazee they are good at safety. There defense is based on pressure from 4 up front. Alternatively, they spent a premium pick on a back who is struggling due to some of his own issues, but mostly because they don't block well and when it comes to sure passing situations they struggle to protect. In my opinion it needs to go LT round one, should be top fifteen so probably second best LT on the board. That is a great fit pick for round one. Premium pick premium position. Then I think you could go a number of ways with one of the two second rounds first almost certainly being top 10. I'd go ILB, but could live with Corner too. But one of those two second rounders needs to be interior offensive line. If you are going to get KP successful you need a run game its that simple. So if there is real value at Corner or ILB at that about say 38th pick I can go there knowing I can get a very good guard at say about 43. Plus I bring in a coach with a history of producing great oline no matter the coast. Enough of this bargain basement no name bullshit.

They brought in talent at oline last offseason. how has that been. I think you have to be extremely skeptical of available young FA oline. The price of that rice is pretty cheap comparatively. Why would you let that walk?

The pfn sim adjusted, now fashanu is top 10

Mazi Smith had a 5 tackles game yesterday, he is a pure NT.
I was going to say, I'll guarantee if he comes out Fashanu will most likely be the top rated T on the board when it's all said and done, only 19, hasn't even scratched the surface of his potential, he's easily a top 10 pick. Depending on where we pick I'd love to make him our first pick

Is anyone trying to use First-pick this year? It is coming up as a security risk for me so I haven't clicked through to it.

I think Daniels has been solid and Cole serviceable. I see the left side of the line more problematic. Saying that if an attractive LT was there I think you take them. Two I have my eye on... The position is expensive as you say. Just spit balling scenerios.

That's fair and don't disagree. They clearly need more talent influx then solid and serviceable though. They have been very unsuccessful inside the B gaps. And blame Harris all anyone wants that is usually blocking.

8. Paris Johnson Jr, OT, osu
33. Gervon Dexter, DT, Florida
38. Darnell Washington, TE, Georgia
71. Layden Robinson, OG, Texas A&M

203. Al Walcott, S, Baylor
225. Julius Brents, CB, Kansas State

  • Noah Sewell
    LB Oregon
Trade back and still get Sewell. Deep tackle draft but weak ILB draft. Get a guy I would start today over Bush. Maybe Jack to.

  • 33.
    Anton Harrison
    OT Oklahoma
Future LT is here. Guy is a stud pass blocker and angry run blocker. Kick Moore to LG and I just fixed the left side of the lone.

  • 38.
    B.J. Ojulari
    EDGE LSU
IMO Ojulari is the best pass rusher in the draft. Watt and Highsmith are studs but Watt is getting older and Highsmith is nearing the end of his rookie contract.

  • 42.
    Emmanuel Forbes
    CB Mississippi State
Guy is an interception machine. Takes some chances but love his aggression when the ball is in the air.

  • 69.
    Darnell Washington
    TE Georgia
Gentry is likely gone and Freiermuth has some concussion issues. At 6-7 270lbs Washington should step right in as next man up.

  • 104.
    Zach Evans
    RB Ole Miss
I know we have Harris and Warrens but neither one are home run threats. Snell is likely gone and Evans could be that game changer we have been looking for.

  • 142.
    Tuli Tuipulotu
    DT USC
Tuli should come in and push for a hat every week. Heyward isn’t going to play forever and this gives Loudermilk some competition.

  • 203.
    Grayson McCall
    QB Coastal Carolina
Go back to 2020 vs Liberty and watch him. Willis won despite 0 tds and 2 picks. This kid kept them in it and really was put on my radar after that.

  • 225.
    Zion Nelson
    OT Miami (FL)
If he’s still around this late you run to the podium. Nelson has left tackle feet so I assume he’s going before this.

partial to this one

traded down from 8 with Tennessee, getting the 26, 56, 91 and the **** 2024 1st round pick

26. Paris Johnson, Jr, OT, osu
33. Broderick Jones, OT, Georgia
38. Darnell Washington, TE, Georgia
58. Sedrick Van Pran, OC, Georgia
69. Siaki Ika, DT, Baylor
91. AT Perry, WR, Wake Forest
104. Zach Harrison, Edge, osu
126. Zion Tupuola-Fetui, Edge, Washington
199. Bryce Ford-Wheaton, WR, West Virginia
225. Cam Hart, CB, Meatchicken

btw - there's no way Darnell Washington makes it past the 2nd round after the combine. Dude is an athletic freak - size, speed... overmatches any LB put on him. Dude isn't the second coming of Leonard Pope, since he absolutely can dominate.

Can’t argue with this

Good trenches draft but I think we see a WR before a TE unless the value says otherwise.
Unless this guy can be Gronk or Kelce, I'd hate to draft a backup tight end in the second round. It's not a position the Steelers need to get back into AFC North contention.
