A lot of people seem to Like Witherspoon with that 108 pick.. I’m partial to Pritchett myself, but i do like the frame of these mock drafts… but I definitely trade down into the 20’s if I’m taking an OT in the first… i don’t think any of the top four are heads and shoulders above the rest so its probably a safe move to make…

You should be promoted to GM immediately lol

  • 12.
    Trenton Simpson
    LB Clemson
The win pushes us back so I go a different route. Simpson is a bit of a swiss army knife out there playing all over the field with his 6-3 240lbs frame and sub 4.4 forty speed. With Bush an UFA and Jack only signed through 2023 I go with the BPA and a position still of need.
  • 33.
    Clark Phillips III
    CB Utah
Phillips III is an undersized and underrated CB. He is probably 5-10 and a buck-eighty five but plays like he's 6ft 200lbs. Last year he had 13 PD with 2 pick and 1 td. This year he only had 5 PD's but had 6 picks with two going to the house. He is pretty aggressive but he is smart when he takes his chances. Not a lot of long plays go against him as he seems to take his shots when he knows he has safety help.
  • 45.
    Bijan Robinson
    RB Texas
Everyone going to flip over this but Najee has regressed to a point I would probably start Snell/Warren in his place. Hopefully, it is just injury and as of late he as run better but the problem remains is his quickness. He is a powerback frame with a scatback mentality. Robinson IMO is an easy upgrade and Khan is not married to Harris. He didn't draft him and even though an OT would be nice here none are worth the pick. And unlike Colbert and Harris I would hope Khan does not reach on needs when obvious talent is smacking you in the face.
  • 96.
    Adetomiwa Adebawore
    EDGE Northwestern
Again no tackle worth the pick. Adebawore is a shredded 6-2 280lbs with a legit first step. Not much in pass rush moves as now he uses his speed and strength to win. But I feel there's a lot to be had there and I would also probably try to speed him up more and help his agility by having him drop in that 265LB range. Highsmith is on a rookie deal and Watt isn't getting any younger or healthier.
  • 108.
    Mazi Smith
    DT Michigan
Alualu is all but gone and I fear Wormley cashes in elsewhere. Smith is a block eater who should help Jack and our first round pick run clean to make plays in the middle. More of your first down DT who comes in early and on run plays.
  • 113.
    Luke Musgrave
    TE Oregon State
Gentry is a UFA and Freiermuth has some concussion issues. Musgrave is an athletic TE who is a better pass catcher than runner now blocker currently. But has the will and like Gentry can work on that to get on the field.
  • 145.
    Parker Washington
    WR Penn State
Reminds me a bit of Hines Ward as he does everything well. The Penn State offense really runs a spread it around offense. For a team and a QB it is great but for individual stats not so much. But if you watch the Ohio State game you can see the talent is there. He can take a quick out an turn it into a big gainer and he has enough speed to get past the defense and is an above average run blocker.
  • 206.
    Zion Nelson
    OT Miami (FL)
2019 was a rough freshman year starting giving up 12 sacks and 22 hurries. But each year he has gotten better. 2020 gave up 5 hurries and 3 sacks and in 2021 9 hurries and 3 sacks. The reason he went from a 1st round pick to the 206th is a knee injury that required surgery. I take the roll of the dice on a top 20 pick this late in hopes he can get healthy to start the season.
  • 209.
    Payton Wilson
    LB NC State
I know I went ILB early but this is too good too late not to take. Again, Jack is only on a 2-year deal so after 2023 he is probably gone as well. Wilson is a tackling machine and a better coverage backer than given credit for. He's not going to flip his hips and run with Kelce but he will play his zone and read the QB's eyes to get picks and pass deflections. But is value is in the box sifting throw the trash and coming up with tackles for loss.
  • 225.
    Grayson McCall
    QB Coastal Carolina
I know when have Mitch and Pickett but Mitch is a free agent after 2023 and McCall is just a gamer. I watched him vs Liberty last year while scouting Malik Willis and McCall was the guy who looked like a potential first round pick. He went 21/32 318 and 3/1 in a nail biting loss in OT. Willis in that game went 19/29 210 0/2. McCall has an NFL arm and can make all the necessary throws. Nice tight spiral. Throws to where the receiver is going. Good anticipation. Above average athlete and good legs.

That really isn’t how guys like that lose money… if you are a sure bet top ten pick, then staying in school wipes out the money you’d make that first year and a year accrued towards UFA as well. He would have been a 20 year old top ten, maybe top 5 pick… lets say he pans out as. An all pro and gets the whole 5 years that comes with a first rounder and a franchise tag for a sixth year… he is 26 when he signs his first big money deal… lets say that is a five year deal… he is only 31 when he hits free agency again…

That 31 year old deal is the one where this decision hurts… because thats where staying an extra year now lops off from in his nfl career… you theoretically are risking tens of millions of dollars in wages both because you are more likely to see a performance drop off in that season going from 31 to 32 than the 30 to 31 one… thats tail end of your prime… and because well you just are playing one less season in the nfl…

In short, staying in school matters if you aren’t going to be a first rounder and potentially can raise your stock, but anytime your stock is maxed out you should sell high as they say…

Beyond that insurance will pay if you get hurt … but not if you just have a bad year… coming back sounds noble but often its more risky and frankly stupid than people realize
But you’re talking about a fraction of what he will make over a career that will likely make him very wealthy regardless. I’d imagine losses due to falling draft position could also be worked into an insurance policy.

That isn’t at all how these policies are… read up on them… they don’t even really cover for loss of draft position over injury much… the absolute best have like a ten million dollar payout if you are so hurt you cant play anymore

And it’s significant money regardless…

Didn't like how this draft was unfolding but this could be a sneaky good draft nonetheless.

Are you aiming to start that 6'4 first rounder at LT?

Are you aiming to start that 6'4 first rounder at LT?
Same size rashawn slater is, so yes if he's strong enough and has the quickness to play LT one inch more or less wont make a difference (that's what she said).

I am applying for the special teams job. It fits me better. might I suggest DIC?

Sorry BLITZ (you're out) but I'm taking over and becoming the first 3 dimensional domination employee of the NFL.

I'll be STs coach / GM / PlayA including usage of the LUXURY S10 for field transportation.

I see no way we are trading down. This draft is not bad hopefully solidifying the OL for years to come along with the middle of the D (especially the front 7). I even got a decent CB and fast WR.

drafting 14th now 12/5

14. Jordan Addison, WR, USC
33. Anton Harrison, OT, Oklahoma
44. Siaka Ika, DT, Baylor
75. DeMarvion Overshown, LB, Texas
114. Andrew Vorhees, OG, USC
207. Jaxson Kirkland, OT, Washington
225. DJ Turner, CB, Meatchicken

Lots of trades but I fill my bag with draft picks. All the trades were pretty close to the draft value chart. So even though improbable not impossible.

26. B.J. Ojulari EDGE LSU
For my money the best pass rusher in the draft. I know Anderson has the stats but looking at him he isn't an elite athlete. I doubt he runs or tests before the draft and the film I see reminds me a lot of Jarvis Jones. Taking advantage of a lot of miss matches and blown assignments. Ojulari is an undersized DE which is a twitch jacked up athlete. Explodes off the ball, strong against the run, and smooth and fast enough to at least cover in zone.

NFL Comparison- Khalil Mack

33. Broderick Jones OT Georgia
Long armed LT who might not test as well as some others but has nimble feet and kick and slide, is a knee bender, and agile enough to get to the second level when called to do so. I think we kick Moore to LG and fix the left side.

NFL Comparison- Duane Brown

47. Siaki Ika DT Baylor
6-4 350lb block eater. Probably only going to get 40% of the defensive snaps but for those 40% the run defense is going to look awesome and he should be able to push the pocket to make the QB get pressure in their faces on pass plays. Also, should free up our ILB to come clean when shooting the gaps.

NFL Comparison- Veta Via

50. Jalin Hyatt WR Tennessee
Might be the fastest man in the draft. Legit 4.2 forty speed. The guy regularly takes screens and bubble plays to the house. A 5 yard slant can be a 50+ yard TD in seconds. He's a bit undersized at 6ft and probably a buck-eighty.

NFL Comparison- Wil Fuller

75. Drew Sanders LB Arkansas
Read and react LB who isn't afraid to sift through the trash to chase the ball carrier. He is quick to diagnose both run and pass plays. Good athlete, not great, and has the size to hold up to taking on NFL linemen.

NFL Comparison- Leighton Vander Esch

79. Dalton Kincaid TE Utah
Good, route runner, smooth athlete, soft hands, smart player. He reads defenses well to set up positioning and to sit in zones. Natural hands catcher who doesn't drop anything. Not a great blocker by any stretch.

NFL Comparison- Jermichael Finley

88. Mekhi Garner DB LSU
Big hitting DB who currently plays corner but I feel his NFL career will be switch to safety. Big kid at 6-1 217lbs and has long arms to boot. Has loose hips and good speed but not quick twitch. I think tracking passes overtop and putting him on tight ends you'd see him flourish. Worst case scenario he is a package DB you put in on specific plays.

NFL Comparison- Bryan Scott

114. Devon Witherspoon CB Illinois
Quick feet, good speed, nice height and attacks the sticks knowing where the QB wants to go with the ball. Not enough sand in pants to be much help in the run game.

NFL Comparison- Lardarius Webb

170. Colby Wooden DT Auburn
Quick off the line, good hand usage, long arms, and moves well for his size. He is a tweener not quick twitch enough as most edge rushers, and not stout enough for the interior. Putting him as a 3-4 DE would be his best chance of success.

NFL Comparison- Brett Keisel

207. Christian Mahogany OG Boston College
Road grading interior lineman who is nimble enough and has enough sand in his pants to not be a liability in pass pro. But make no mistake his best asset is coming off the line and moving who is in front of him but has enough speed to get to the second level and take on a LB to create space for big runs.

NFL Comparison- Vernon Carey

225. Spencer Rattler QB South Carolina
I don't think he actually declares as the hype is gone and even after a good season with the gamecocks he didn't re-establish himself as a first round prospect. But if he is here I take a chance. Rudolph likely is out of Pittsburgh hours after the last game and Trubisky will be not to far behind him. Steelers probably bring in a veteran for a safety net and draft someone to develop. Rattler is an above average athlete who can create with his feet. He has an NFL caliber arm but not elite. When he uses proper mechanics he is very accurate from the pocket but sometimes gets sloppy. He is an above average run thrower and does a nice job of keeping eyes down the field when outside the pocket allowing for guys to get open when things breakdown. Needs to make better decisions. Sometimes throws into coverage when he doesn't have to. Gets happy feet too often leaving a clean pocket to scramble unnecessarily.

NFL Comparison- Johnny football to Drew Brees.

latest one i did... with trades (which we rarely do)

23. Broderick Jones, OT, Georgia - as said above, kick Moore inside. Left side of the line is settled.
33. Darnell Washington, TE, Georgia - big kid, and can move as well as catch and run block ... and Gentry is a FA after this season.
52. John Michael Schmitz, C, Minnesota - Center to Left Tackle is solved going forward.
54. Siaki Ika, DT, Baylor - Cam's getting long in the tooth and Alualu's got Father Time telling him to sit down.
75. Blake Freeland, T, BYU - Gives us flexibility on the OL when Chuks contract is up in two years.
114. Zach Harrison, Edge, osu - not too huge on the guy as an OLB, but think he could step in and replace/upgrade BusT.
152. Jonathan Mingo, WR, Ole Miss - Bigger WR, and gives us two sizeable WRs with Pickens. Comparable to Deebo Samuel - jack of all trades.
207. Julius Brents, CB, Kansas State - Gives us a CB to develop (yes, I laughed too) - but he's got size and maybe Flores can polish him.
225. DJ Turner, CB, Meatchicken - Another CB with good size and speed.

If the draft worked out this way, I would be freaking ecstatic. A legit LT, a very good C, a big, physical CB who looks like he grows into a #1, a WR with blinding speed who torched 'Bama for 5 TD's (bad game for Ricks), a toolsy OLB who can rush the passer, a big DT who can rush the passer, an "ehh" LBer, and a QB who can act as Lamar Jackson and Deshaun Watson in practice.
Oh, and a 3rd round pick.

auto draft:

10. Paris Johnson, OT, osu (moved up to 10?!)
44. Gervon Dexter, DT, Florida
75. Lukas Van Ness, Edge, Iowa
207. Tiawan Mullen, CB, Indiana
222. Malik Cunningham, QB, Louisville

terrible ******* draft. which i'd expect we'll pull off in the real world.

Except if they moved up I doubt it would be for a T per their history of the position. I think they stand put on this one knowing they have that extra 2. My money is on CB or WR now that they started winning some games...

RD1-#14- KeLee Ringo CB Georgia
Physical Freak of nature with his height, weight, speed combination.

RD2-#33- Broderick Jones OT Georgia
Long arms and natural knee bender with quick feet. Should help kick Moore inside and fix the left side of the line.

RD2-#44- BJ Ojulari Edge LSU
I don't see him falling out of round one but if he did you run to the podium.

RD3-#75- Parker Washington WR PSU
Thick, quick, slot receiver who is dangerous once the ball is in his hands.

RD4-#114- Tommy Eichenberg ILB OSU
Gets off blocks by stacking and shedding, reads and reacts, sets up his blitzes well, A+ tackler and good in coverage vs backs and tight ends.

RD7-#207- Will Mallory TE Miami
Soft hands, good inline blocker, decent speed, and understands route concepts. Not going to be Freiermuth but a good #2 tight end.

RD7-#225- Isaiah McGuire DL Missouri
6-4 275lbs with long arms but will need to gain 15-20lbs of functional muscle but has the frame to do it. But he's an active player with 14.5 sacks and 28 TFL the last two seasons in the SEC.
