Most Heartbreaking Steelers Loss Ever?

no, not the most heartbreaking, as we're still the 2nd seed at 11-3. Now, had the Steelers been something like 8-5 or 7-6 and that loss seriously hindered their chances at the postseason, it most certainly would be one of the most devastating "regular season" losses in quite some time. But even then, it's just regular season, no loss will ever be so devastating as a playoff loss or, dare I speak it, the superbowl losses. . .
 
This game wasn't heartbreaking for me personally.
But it did solidify my disappointment in the way the current state of the nfl is now.

Letting officiating dictate the outcome of a game is horrible. As a fan and player.
Since I'm one of the younger posters on here, my most heartbreaking moment was the 2004 afc championship.

15-1 season. Ben was on fire as a rookie.
Polamalu and Farrior were having a lights out season on defense. Everything felt so right that year.

A regular season game that bothered me was in 2005. At Indy for monday night. I remember all the talk about Manning and Harrison and this seemingly unstoppable Colts offense. Ben was back, and I remember our guys just took a beating that game

Not even close. For me, that was San Diego in 1995.

I could probably point to many regular season losses, but the two that stick was a game against Houston where we dominated them in every category, but Maddox (?) threw three pick sixes (I believe).

Another was a game in KC, where we battled back (if I recall), then they won on with a walk off pick six. Or how about the bitterly cold game in Cleveland on a Monday , and we flat didn’t show up?

The way I see it, if this was the AFCCG heartbreaking loss.

And then there is this...they needed New York to help.
 
Sorry, but for me, regular season losses don't hurt that bad. Sure this sucked but I moved on by Monday. The real game will come in the playoffs and if are healthy (AB and Haden back), we beat them in either place.

I'll give one loss that was much worse for me -- losing to the Chargers in the AFC Championship. We were heavy favorites and had the game but lost in the end. That one sucks because it truly meant something. Plus, I lived in Cleveland at the time and had gotten tickets and was at the game.
