Pitre is an interesting interesting prospect I think at 84 he would bring excellent value. I almost picked him in my mock. I like his coverage capable.

Yeah the Bengals drafted Joe Burrow number 1. I don't believe we have the number 1 pick , and none of the guys in this draft have his level of talent especially available at the 20 spot. And Burrow is one good hit away from messing up a promising career.

If you think a QB is a franchise guy, it doesn't matter if the rest of your team is JV level, you take them.

Gordon is one of my favorite players. I think his best football is ahead of him. Really like Williams I just wondered how long until he was back to being percent. I do feel he wouldn't have been there if that injury didn't take place. I can see a top 10-15 range WR. Another prospect that his best football is ahead. Just two very talented football players.

at 1st overall you have a much better chance at getting a franchise qb vs. 20th overall.

I agree. It's not that I don't like Linderbaum, I think he'd be a great pickup, we just need a leader in the OL room. There are too many young guys and no one is taking charge. You stabilize the middle and I'd expect Dotson to improve and live up to his potential. I hope Moore develops like they think they can, but hope isn't a plan, it's a way to get guys fired.

I'm not sure if I agree with SF448 or Blitz...maybe both. The Bengals pulled the trigger on Joe Burrows, as they should have. However, he had his career nearly ended by a poor OL which has exactly ONE player left on it from the 2019 starting unit. Michael Jordan, the LG who was bulldozed by Johnathan Allen also allowed 5 hits, 3 hurries and 9 pressures prior to that hit. He was cut a year later. Even with 4 of 5 linemen being replaced, Burrow was sacked 51 times in 2021. It's a dangerous game to play with a franchise QB.

In this draft, we have to take players that we believe are going to be here long enough to shine. IMO, there are no QBs who fit the description of a franchise player. That being said, we should value players who can help our franchise RB shine and take pressure off of whatever poor soul is given the QB spot.

If it were me, I'd value OL, CB, ILB (we need both a mack and buck) and maybe another TE. We can run heavy sets like the Ravens did with Lamar and either run or pass to the TEs. out of run sets. We have a weak WR core left so it makes sense. If we can fix the line and establish the run, we give whatever QB the best chance at success.
