Mike Mitchell Has a Problem

I think JJ Wilcox is an upgrade over Mitchell. JJ has a knack for the ball, which Mitchell doesn't have. Mitchell is undisciplined, and he worries me every time someone makes a 12 yard run.

I like Mitchell. I’m one of the few here I guess. He’s a good fit to this defense, probably their best centerfielder as far as what they have at safety. Wilcox just doesn’t have his speed. Mitchell is a big emotional player. I appreciate that. He also does make some boneheaded plays out of his emotion. They should start looking at his position in the draft or free agency next year.

I like Wilcox as a good backup and a serious improvement over Golden but still isn't starter material, S is probably number 2 priority next offseason

Love the main guy on ESPN calling Mitchell's hit dirty and just going off. Then, the two player analysts totally put him in his place. Watch the replay and you see Chicklo trip Mitchell from behind and Mitchell actually barely makes contact with Smith. They showed the replay multiple times.

For me, I'll admit, I called Mitchell an idiot yesterday but I didn't see that replay. So, I will apologize for calling him out. There was absolutely nothing wrong with his hit on Smith and I see no way he should be fined. But, he's a Steelers player and that means Rog will throw the book at him no matter if he was tripped or not.
