Miami Dolphins Vs Steelers Monday Night Pregame thread

Miami doesn't have a stellar record in cold weather games ... especially Tua... and it will be frigid at game-time...
They beat the Steelers on a cold winter day where AB almost pulled off the last second victory but stepped out of bounds on a snow covered field.

It was so cold that day … too cold.😅

The dolphins have been playing good football lately. They have win 4 in a row and 5 out of the last 6 after their terrible start. The weather will help the steelers but Miami has a great running game so it might not be the huge advantage it seems. Achane is averaging almost 6yrds / carry and has over 1100yrds which is 3rd in the NFL. We have given up over 500yrds rushing the last 2 games. I certainly don't see this game being a cake walk. I don't care who is in attendance or what ceremonies they have. That is not going to help the struggling run defense.
As for the Browns, Sanders threw for almost 400yrds last week with 3TDs 1 Int and a rushing TD. I know it was against Tenn, but still impressive for someone in his 4th start who hasn't had much quality practice time. Might have been a fluke, but if Sanders gets hot that have won't be easy either

She gets heavier by the week!

Put Coolie on top of anyone………. They’re bound to get heavier……….

I didn’t know there was a “hames” stat, good to know.

Harmon, will be the best for the run defense. There is a 98 yard / game discrepancy when he is in the line up.

If he is a go, that will be the biggest difference maker on that horrid run “D”.

Last week i think Tua won his first game played under 46 degrees... it was 41 degrees... his passing stats were 13-21 and 127 yards, 1td...

his stats tank under 70 degrees... he has like 6 career wins under 70degrees... he is not a cold weather player... it is projected to be between 10 and 20 degrees at game time Monday night

While true, that was when they didn't have a running game and they relied heavily on Tua, now it's the opposite.

So you are saying the Steelers have a chance….😅

When I think of cold-weather QBs, I think of guys like Ben Roethlisberger, Josh Allen, and Aaron Rodgers. Two of those guys will be in the building on Monday and both will be wearing the black & gold.

This is what I'm worried about. Tua doesn't have to win the game he just can't lose it If I was Miami I would run the bank 85-90% of the time unless we somehow get a big lead. Even with Harmon I don't think we can stop it unless we load up heavy on the box. I just don't see our coaches committing to that

lol..
Almost forgot about that game.
I was watching in a bar at a local casino and if my memory serves me correctly, if we won that game, we would’ve made the playoffs that year.
AB should’ve scored he lost concentration of where he was on the field. He had a clear path to the end zone.

Normally I would pick the Fins to win but temps will be in the teens with wind chill around zero and snow.

It was Ben’s fault.

Over / under of how many times MNF shows the punt stuck in the mud from the hurricane game... twice?
I think the Hurricane game was in Miami, Bens first start, the game the ball stuck in the mud was at home in 07 I believe.

That was off a last minute desperation back in forth tossing the football around which made it almost an incredible play. But yeah he just barely stepped out. That man had skills there was no denying that.

During their win streak, im not sure Tua has had more than one game over 200 yards passing... its all run with them

Do not go to sleep on the Dolphins. No one is expecting anything from them so they will be loose and focused.
After a horrible start you have to give them credit for not tanking and continuing to fight.
This is a typical Tomlin scenario where they win a big game the previous week and have a letdown the following week.
Fins have solid running game and Steelers are one of the worst stopping the run.
Pay attention to Aaron’s blind side with the fourth string left tackle now your starter. Could be a big problem.
Dolphins will double up on Metcalf and force the rest of the horrible WRs to beat them.
Steelers should rely heavily on the running game this week, something they’ve seemed to abandon lately.
Where the hell is the rookie RB Caleb Johnson?
Where is Roman Wilson?
Why are they neglecting Muth?
Be careful guys. I absolutely do not trust this Tomlin led team.

This is a huge game for them, pretty much must win if they want a shot at the playoffs, they win and get to 7-7.

We assume every game under Tomlin as a gimme Lose.

Also I heard dolphins are psycho pervs, so you definitely shouldn't go sleeping on them.
